Crash 4 is the only Crash game I've ever played, and I'm surprised that as you are implying, other Crash games didn't have that yellow circle, because I would have overshot many jumps where the camera didn't show where I was going to land without it.

I've only played the N. Sane Trilogy and the Wrath of Cortex, but you previously just had to judge where Crash was going to land based on his shadow, which wasn't always easy to spot. (On top of camera/perspective issues, like you mentioned)
