B. would be the best scenario for everyone, TBH. At least, in my opinion.

Speaking of Sonic, though, I honestly think the Sonic game coming this year will be good. They've had time, and people like Aaron Webber helping steer the company now that they're getting more of a voice in higher management, so I think we're in pretty good hands.

Regardless, I just wanna know what it actually is, lol. March is almost over and not a single peep about anniversary releases, despite the fact back around November/December Sega made it clear multiple titles were coming this year for Sonic.

Team Sonic is on Sakura Wars until further notice and the last game we had was a racing spin-off by Sumo Digital, so I have no idea what they'll do from here, aside from Toshihiro Nagoshi having stated that he'd do a "very different" Sonic game if he was given the chance.

It's really weird how they still haven't figured out how to relay their SXSW news when damn-near every other company has found a workaround for theirs. Maybe we'll hear something at E3? Seeing as the series was born on June, and all...

I saw something about a report from a magazine for a 30th anniversary concert. It's too early to tell of course, but they may do something like they did in 2016, with that big Sonic event where Mania and Forces were revealed.
If so, that means we'll probably have to wait till June, which I'm fine with.
Regarding who would make it, I think Zippo said it would be a Sonic pillar in the West, and Sonic Team would just be a brand name, with none of the same people working on it. Then again, I don't know if we can trust Zippo, as his "giga-leak" is more of a Sonic wishlist than something that would actually happen.

Leak or no leak, it's pretty clear that Sonic Team got a huge shake up after Forces, as after that game things at Sega got moved around a ton and a bunch of restructuring happened. I wouldn't be surprised if the next game is handled by a 100% different team, which is probably for the best given Sonic is in desperate need of different hands.
