Personally speaking, it works pretty well to butter immediately after they're toasted. Years of experience.

I prefer home-made waffles myself. They are harder on your system, but... A good, sizeable, home-made waffle is satisfying after eating only one, and like, KirbyWorshipper said, it is better to apply butter while the waffle is hot.

Fair point, I suppose I’m not yet skilled enough for butter application haha. I just find Pancakes much easier to prepare.

Coffee and tea, pancakes and waffles, cats and dogs... We all have our tastes. I do like pancakes though.
