I doubt it. From what I saw of Metal Gear Solid cutscenes, I don't recall politics even remotely. I recall crazy superpower human experiments and giant robot weapons, both of which go back to my point of history and science.
Of course not all Japanese media is apolitical, considering one of the most beloved settings of fiction in plenty of Japanese media is Sangokushi but that's still a matter of history and nobody really cares about it for meetings and platforms as much as they care about it for war and tactics. It'd certainly be extremely embarrassing to try to squeeze some kind of political message out of Japanese media like Maken-Ki! or Manyuu Hikenchou, considering their content and context. Even if they did, I'd just be inclined to believe they're incapable of finding joy in anything.
