  • Day 1 of playing Kazuya against an actual person:

couldn't do a single thing I practiced for. My mind was too busy trying to process the actual match.
Once again, my hand is ****ed.
I wish Kazuya could at least waveland. In spite of that, I'm getting used to his mobility.

Funny enough, the scariest match is Kazuya vs. Kazuya.
Kazuya's strength is his strong punishes. And his weakness is his endlag leaving him open to punishment.
I'm the king of my own land.
Facing tempests of dust, I'll fight until the end.
Creatures of my dreams raise up and dance with me!
Now and forever, I'm your king!
    Kazuya combos killing me.

In a way, this isn't a bad thing if it encourages you to work hard and get a lot of reward from it. But at the same time, he's also really weird and uintuitive to just figure out, and it's one hell of a mathematical equation.
    Still can't do EGWF.

Same. I hear people saying to treat it like a smash attack input but like, I'm pretty sure smash attacks are more forgiving than 2 frames.

A Smash-like input gives you the Dragon Uppercut, which I can do a lot easier... I can get most of the other inputs, but for some reason EGWF is ridiculously hard.
It's so ****ing **** when you invest into something you genuinely like, out of the very view interests you really have, and it only slaps you in the face time and time and again. Your pour your heart and soul into it, and hardly gives you anything in return.
I don't understand how people can play and do well in the ****ing mess that is Smash Ultimate. I've played Smash for 10 years, and Ultimate is just a kick in the balls. It's no wonder all these new people do better (especially these 12-13 year old "prodigies". It's dumbed down so everyone else can play "competitively".

A ****ing insult for anyone who has worked hard for years just to get stuck at mid level.

    Ultimate sucks, ngl.

If somewhere in the future someone made an Ultimate patch to fix all the crap (input delay, buffer systems, dumb things in general), it'd easily be the best competitive Smash. But as it is, I'm tired of holding on to the "sometimes it's good".

I play Project M cuz low level players are scared of wavedashes, ledgehogging and l cancelling.
    you're gay

    obviously im not gay

well you are pretending to be a girl online and having a romantic relationship with a guy so

i give it to you you got me there
Smash Ultimate sometimes feel like playing on a floor full of butter and you're wearing a heavy backpack. First one to slips loses.
Even playing Ultimate offline, the game still feels really inconsistent at times. Input lag is really a thing, and there are usually scenarios where I can't really feel stable at the game. Took me a long time to realise, it really is poorly designed in a couple of aspects.
I remember that one of my last online matches was against an extremely laggy K.Rool, and we played like a Bo3 or something. And then every match afterwards was a cringefest that made me quit for good.

THE LAGGY KROOL WAS UNIRONICALLY THE MOST ENJOYABLE OUT OF ALL THOSE MATCHES.
Quitting wifi has been great. Should've done this well over a year ago. :D
reddit is the worst place to post your montages. You're lucky to get 10 likes for a quality video over the same overused meme getting literal thousands of upvotes.
I used to fall for the idea that you were only "good" if you were able to perform in tournament, but I don't agree with that. I always play like ass in tournament, so I don't know how others play "better" in tournament. I play much worse.
Ultimate is the only Smash game a boring ass slow character like Ike can be good...
I shouldn't have to look up the literal continent of America and find a picture of the map of the U.S.

Doc Monocle Doc Monocle I agree. I always call those people Native Americans and never call them Indians. The term of calling Native Americans Indians is a misconception that should have been thrown away a long time ago as the only Indians are the ones from India.

I took a DNA test awhile back and I'm 15% Native American to Texas and Mexico believe it or not and I'm only half Mexican. Most Hispanics/Latinos/Mestizos have a mix of Native American ancestry, Spanish ancestry, and sometimes African ancestry as well which is why we are called Hispanics/Latinos/Mestizos instead of Whites, Native Americans, Africans, ect because of our mix ancestry.

TBH the Cleveland Indians' team name should've been changed instead of the Redskins, just due to how incorrect it is. The Redskins' team name was called racist despite being considered a TITLE OF HONOR in Native American culture.

My High School mascot was an Indian.
    Gotta love Kensucky.
So apparently peak Hulk can beat DBS Broly unironically with actual feats to go off of...
Byleth, the most hated DLC and FE character, the "other generic anime swordsmen" is ironically the most uniquely built out of the FE characters. He has a lance and a huge axe, as well as a sword that turns into a whip. The lance part is what attracted me the most. Characters with disjoint usually have a sword.
It makes me feel really well, to play well. It's a really good feeling. In Ultimate, it's rare that I feel that all the time, but it exists. Ultimate really is quite a volatile game, especially if you happen to "press a lot of buttons". Passiveness was never my thing. I feel it's a waste to have a game which so much and just settle for that...

I do not play Ultimate (as you probably know by now, I am strictly from Brawl), but it would be difficult for me to call myself a defensive or offensive player. I used defense only to keep from risk taking, and I used offense just to keep the opponent from playing safe. On a scale of one to ten for passive tendency, I probably rate as an imaginary number!

I would (long story). I might even one day, but by then, the next two or three games might be released. Besides, I find it fun trying to assist driving from the back seat. It is challenging to my speculative and analytical skills and stimulating for my memory.
    Zelda drives me crazy.

    In a good way.
Ultimate has the potential to be an amazing game, and you see that a lot in clip compliations like The Salt is Real. And yet, so many people insist on making it boring and "toxic" and hard to tolerate on things like online. I see this game, compared to other ones, and I feel you can do a lot more with any character.

True. But Ultimate's online does suck though. Half of the time, I feel like I can't get any of my moves in because of the delay input frames of the lag. Playing Smash online can be a ***** experience most of the time. But in regards to characters? There are so many characters with untapped potential like Bowser Jr., Duck Hunt, Pac-Man, Ridley, the Belmont boys, ect. So many characters, so many people overlook in their potential.

I main Zelda and I know the kind of crazy things she can do firsthand. So many players settle for using only 3-4 moves of her kit and then say she’s mediocre and only shines on wifi.

No, I don’t want to play the Week 1 cringe ditto with you
Why do people **** around so much in Ultimate's online in the U.S? They're basically trolling, a lot of the time. I used to complain when I was in Argentina, but it's not nearly as bad as what people do here.

I don't really have any reference, but I guess that's just what they do. I honestly thought this was normal for Ultimate tbh. But maybe we have a greater share of the world's trolls?

Though I can't really say I experience too much trollish behavior because anytime someone tries they just get bodied until they start playing seriously and then leave immediately after. Though I did have this one Lucas who was very dedicated to his brand of trolling even though he kept losing. Almost had to respect him for that even though he was running one stock and mashing projectiles while teabagging.

I was playing as Ganondorf against this really good Lucas player the other day and we beated each other a bunch of times. I beated this guy 17 times yet when he manged to get me off stage and somehow edge guard me from back on, he teabag me a couple of times. We were both pretty skilled against each other as I read a lot of his moves getting Smash Attacks on him and he attempted to get me off stage a few times trying to spike me, which he did mange to do a few times.

I don't know why some players teabag even if it's against another player of their level, but what I can assume for Americans is trolling is somehow part of the meme culture which it really shouldn't depending on how you do it and how you look at it.
