This is the first time I've seen Sephiroth in actual gameplay, but it seems you did pretty well. Beautiful edgeguard in the last game.

Wait, seriously? No Tweek or Zackray? As usual, I kind of play different than the conventional. I’m probably not the Sephiroth role model... yet.

Kind of neglected him for almost two weeks, but I used him all day, today. Played wifi for hours.

Conventional players are probably a lot slower and patient, play the spacing game a lot (he has laggy ass moves, makes sense), you’ll see a lot more Side B (which In trying to learn to incorporate) and even Neutral B for ledgetrapping.

I think he can be played fast, though. Unlike Byleth, his mobility is pretty solid (especially with Wing).

Yeah, I've lost all interest in the game even with Sephiroth being my second most wanted. Anytime I think about going back to try Sephiroth I remember the online and how it completely kills the game for me.

He looks pretty cool though.

Nah, no more furries for me. I want either Alicia or Selvaria from the first Valkyria Chronicles.

I stopped being a ***** and finally played again. Sephiroth is pretty fun, but the game still sucks, so I only lasted a few hours. I kept trying to figure out how to land his full neutral B because holy **** does that look awesome when you do. Managed to land it a few times though.

For me, he is a fun character, but I feel he's more carried by his character legacy than his actual playstyle. Most people play him slow and boring, and you basically did that already with Byleth. His attacks are slow, but his mobility can somewhat allow him to pick up pace.

Full Neutral B isn't as bad of a ledgetrap move, I just don't think it's braindead. I prefer basically doing Bair+Ftilt and mixing it up with a DSmash (shieldbreak).

Still, a few hours is enough. Can't believe it took you 3 weeks to finally try him out.

I guess it's because I already knew in my heart that a good character can't carry a bad game. I got him into Elite briefly but was beaten back down by the mashing hordes. There's absolutely no point in playing a game where fundamentals aren't that important and the mechanics carry bad players. I can't even have fun with the game casually because I'm always shoehorned into the same playstyle by the engine limitations when it comes to dealing with hyper aggressive mashers.

Even my friend who was pretty much plugged into the whole Smash mythos is tired of Ultimate's bull**** and is planning on moving on to other games.

My relationship with online became a lot better the moment I ditched Quickplay. Just do it. It's worth it, even if you have to wait around a bit (which honestly isn't a lot). Being able to have a real ruleset and being able to choose who stays is a great boon to have. I've encountered a couple of annoying players, but that's why kicking is an option. I've been back to online in my stay in the U.S, but I might consider officially returning if it keeps up like it has.

Over the last couple of days, it's been a lot better. I've encountered some annoying players, but that went by quickly. For the first time in a while, been encountering actual good players at least 1-2 times a day, and they rematch a lot more often than not.

Only time I touched Quickplay was last week, and I just wanted to try something (failed miserably because **** that mode).
