Yes, civility is hard to come by. Sometimes people are opinionated and stubborn, and judging by your post, you recently came from a heated argument. I would not feel anxiety over this though. You are right though, development has the final say. Speculation is just for fun, and many get carried away. I do think listening is important as you say, but not everyone does. It is upsetting if you are leaving because of this.

Well, you don't have to... you could always just stay away from that section, because I honestly had no idea you were seen in that light before you said it.

It's whatever. They're not your crowd, and that's not a bad thing.

@Oz o , that would not solve the problem. The same mentalities, or even the same people, who spoke in an inflammatory way in those threads will do the same elsewhere. Avoiding a problem does not fix it, but you can fix others by rising above it.

There's usually people who pretty much frequent one place of the boards, and they rarely "come out". He'll be fine, as long as he avoids those discussions.

First, while it may be true that there are some static 'trolls under the bridge,' there are others who would venture out from there. No one can speak universally (yes, I know I spake universally). Second, where is the growth in avoiding discussions that anger you?

The heated discussion I debated in happened a few days ago. But since then, I feel like some people here have been ignoring me. It doesn't matter since I plan to leave soon anyway.
