  • Showcase release of all of the beta Ocarina of Time maps dumped thus far:

    link2702
are these all from the F-zero cartridge dump that hard4games talked about?

Cuz it had some holy grail level stuff in there.
    EDIT: yes it apparently is.

Man I wish Nintendo would just release all this beta content for folks to view on their site, even if they wont actually "release" it in the sense to make it playable for people, just giving folks a virtual tour of every possible area in these beta elements of OoT would satisfy folks, as well as the old models for link and enemies and gameplay.

There's so much mystery and interest in what "could have been" in OoT. Fans just simply want all this preserved in a format that generations in the future can see in detail how a game considered by many to be the greatest in history, came to be.

Yep, this is from the F-Zero prototype dump. I would recommend checking out z64me's channel and subscribing since he'll likely be digging through the files some more and will be uploading anything else he finds by the hour when he does.

But Nintendo will never showcase all this cool beta stuff in a book or a extra futures in any of their games since when the fans find tjis kind of stuff, it's more like Nintendo to punish us instead of just saying "Oh what the hell! It's already on the Internet so we'll glady put in a book or game to show the fans." Nintendo can kind of be like Disney at times.
This guy named L-DI-EGO made a Metroid Lego set and is putting up a petition to get Lego's attention to consider making it official:

If 9900 people sign it, the obvious Zero Suit Samus lego will be shown. If 10,000 people sign it he'll send it off to Lego for them to consider. Let's support y'all and make this a reality!
Beta OOT item renders, beta Hyrule Field map, beta Gerudo Valley, beta archery, and another beta map of Hyrule Field:

So yesterday, someone find a prototype F-Zero X development cart that had early build of Ocarina of Time in it. This guy named Forest of Illusion has dumped the rom online:

My inner N64 fanboy is going wild right now because they are finding so much beta content right now. Just look:

    OMG! It's beautiful!
So how many more years you guys think the Switch will be Nintendo's hottest product until it passes the tourch onto the next Nintendo console? I'm expecting 2024 or 2025 until we either see or hear about the Switch's successor.
If you could date anyone in the roster, who would it be? I would go on a date with Palutena because of her great wisdom, intelligence, and her pretty looks. Compared to any other female on the roster, Palutena is the whole package to me.
It's that time of the month again for me to post this:

Anyone read One Piece chapter 1001 yesterday? It was amazing!
That Ryuo punch by Luffy really got a good hit on Kaido. Kaido seems to respect Luffy a little now saying "Are you implying that you're as great as them?" I was a little surprised Luffy barely manged to dodge Kaido's Thunder Bagua with his future sight. That really shows the power gap between a Emperor and a 1st Commander in a sense. It was funny seeing Luffy, Law, and Kid make that ugly Robin face when they were being attacked by Big Mom. It was also very cool to see Kid's Punk Rotten as it looked like a giant metal demon. Kid is stronger than I thought. And I think Big Mom knew about the Strawhats and Robin finding and writing down about the Poneglyphs as she knows about them finding them on their journey. Overall amazing chapter! I would give it a 10 out of 10.
So how much does a LAN adapter help with speeding up your online experience? I'm curious because I was thinking about getting one since half of the time I feel like other players online get their frame input in faster than I do because of my connection and the lag.

    Coolboy
a wifi adapter work great too! but make sure to get 1 that's good..sure they can be pricey but if you can afford then that's worth it!
ever since i have mine for a few years now i never had issues with most games well except Smash Ultimate but that's because online is crap in that game lol
while with Splatoon 2/Mario kart i never have been disconnected again and they are both 8 player games

    RetrogamerMax
So what would you say is the best wifi/LAN adapter for the Switch? Because with controllers I only buy Nintendo brand ones and not 3rd party ones because of how crappy they're.
I'm thinking about leaving here sooner whether than later. I know some of the folks in the Newcomer Thread are inching for me to leave this place and that way when I'm gone, things can be sunshine and lollipops around here. I was just saying how fan rules wasn't a thing and Sakurai makes the rules and not us or myself. But yeah, I know nothing and I should shut up because the community knows more about the rules of the game than the developers themselves right? I'm not saying I know anything, but Sakurai makes the game so he decides who get's in or who doesn't, decides what will be put in the game, and what is preventing a character from getting in or not. But I'm getting tired of playing this speculation game when so many people aren't opening to listening to what others have to say on certain things.

That's sounds like a pretty reasonable position since fan rules are always completely made up and constantly proven wrong.

As someone who also ruffles people's feathers frequently I can tell you from experience that it really isn't worth worrying about being agreed with. People feel bad and alone when they are opposing popular opinion and that's totally understandable, but there is a sense of freedom when speaking the truth that can't really be replicated. If people are going to be assblasted over you giving them a reality check then there isn't much sense in letting them control your speech and mindset.
    R
    RetrogamerMax
Right. But most people will always agree with the crowd regardless if that one person or few is telling the truth or not.
    S
    StoicPhantom
It depends. It might seem like you are being dogpiled on by several users and their like army, but if you were to look at the view count overall you would see that there are substantially more people viewing that thread that don't reveal their stance on things. What is commonly referred to as the silent majority. Whether or not they agree with you is up in the air though, but you might not be as alone as you perceive.

Even so though, I'm more meaning that sometimes being right is better than being popular about it. Eventually people are going to have to acknowledge internally that they were wrong even if they won't publicly admit it. Perhaps not with everything, but you can only cling onto certain things like fan rules until they are objectively proven wrong and then they will have at least silently admit you were right.

Of course that depends on the individual too. I'm the type to be more satisfied with speaking the truth than being popular, so it's easy for me to say this. But I still do share and understand the frustration when dealing with people who are like what you described.
Sometimes, I feel like leaving Smashboards because some people think I'm a ******* for speaking about my opinions on Smash speculation.

There was people at my job who discriminated against my Autism aka Aspergers and thought I was a two face ******* calling me things behind my back and claiming I was doing this and that when I wasn't. I was being discriminated and framed so I left that place. People there started acting ****** to me after this one girl harassed me and made up lies about me and my supervisor was close to her and protected her and they harassed me long after that one girl left. So I just left because **** that place.

Maybe when the next character is announced, I'll leave this place because I'm starting to feel like I'm becoming more unwelcome here just because of my opinions on Smash speculation and me being part of the Fatman/Geno group protecting Fatman's reputation anytime some one says anything bad about him.

I feel really bad that people have treated you that way. It disgusts me when people are discriminated because of a disability or condition that they can't control. And I feel bad that it's gotten so bad that you had to leave your job and that you're considering leaving Smashboards. I don't know what to do to help you, but you have my deepest sympathy and I hope someday things will get better.

Pretty much what they said. I can't really say much more, but I do hope things get better.

    Thanks guys.
It's time I just put faith into my own beliefs with Smash predictions whether than putting stock on the predictions of a lot of others. So here is my final and literal remaining Fighter's Pass 2 predictions:

    Chun-Li
    Lloyd or Yuri
    Elma
So what has been the hardest DLC Spirit battle in the Spirit Boards for y'all thus far? For me it would have to be Hero's Comrades. I beat it with Ganondorf who is like my 3rd best main and I just had the Great Tiger Spirit equipped. It was pretty tough as it's a Legend class Spirit Stamina battle where you have to fight 7 characters one at a time with only one heart piece showing up on the stage half way through. 2 of them fight you together near the end and it's a pretty tough Spirit battle compared to most others in the game. I remember losing several times before I actually beated this.
So who would win in a Death Battle K. Rool or Gruntilda? K. Rool has his krown, blunderbuss, jetpack, and his boxing gloves as well as his overwhelming strength and defensive belly armor while Gruntilda has her spells, broom, and Hag 1. I feel like the matchup could go either way, but I think K. Rool would probably win with a high def victory.
    ZoroCarlos
    ZoroCarlos
I think K. Rool can take her. Guy survived beatings from a primate that punched the moon out of orbit (Also implied that K. Rool outclasses DK in raw strength), and Grunty couldn't even push a rock off her, so IMO Rool could one-shot Grunty if he gets too close. Gruntilda's only chance of victory would be to outrange him long enough, but Rool has enough tools in his arsenal to close the gap.
    R
    RetrogamerMax
Yep. Plus if Banjo & Kazooie could beat Grunty, than so could DK or K. Rool.

Kind of feels justified in this case considering the creator was making real cash off of Nintendo's IPs.
    R
    RetrogamerMax
You do have a point. But I was hearing that some of those creators were only making money on their streams which is still messed up. But Nintendo should leave fans alone who make mods or hacks and don't make any money off of it what so ever. But I agree they should step in when someone is making a buck off of their property.
    The Stoopid Unikorn
    The Stoopid Unikorn
I think he meant the website's creator getting money off of ad revenue from people clicking on links and playing these games, not the fangames' creator.

Because Flash 2 and Crusade, two fangames that are 100% nonprofit when it comes to the teams making those games, were on gamejolt and were also removed from it, but the games themselves weren't cut entirely, just cut from gamejolt.
    So check this out:

Microsoft tried to buyout Nintendo 21 years ago and Nintendo's reaction was pretty much them laughing their ****** off for over a hour. One of their pitch ideas to Nintendo for wanting to buy them out was telling Nintendo that their hardware sucked and Sony's was better. Telling them they would be able to still make their games while Microsoft would make the hardware. Lmao! It's like that one user in the comment section down below in the video said "Imagine going on a date full of confidence, calling her ugly and expecting she'll fall for you. This is the business version of that."
So they removed 250 DSiWare games from the 3DS Eshop including the original release of Risky's Revenge:

The horror. If all games go digital in the future, than God help us all.
I put a character poll in the Bandai-Namco thread:

Let me know who else I'm missing from the poll.
I just made The General Namco thread:

: Mumbo's Hut of support is up and running!

Come if you want to be a shaman's apprentice!
So I just found out RogersBase's real name is Roger DiLuigi lol!

He was literally born with the will of D. For those of you who don't know what the will of D is, it's a One Piece reference.
I miss the Geno gang. I don't get to see many of you guys anymore because of most of you moving away from here to discord.
