it's probably gonna piss off those who grew up with this original. I don't think Aerith is gonna (it's a 20+ year old game and this is one of the most infamous scenes so...uh..."spoilers' shouldn't really be needed) die in the remake.

I might not have played it but i watched a lets play of a lot of it, and a lot of it does seem to be turning into "FF7 alternate timeline", and with all the backlash that original scene got, I feel like that she's either gonna have some way of being revived, or they're not actually gonna kill her.
