Genning Pokemon means you use special hacks or mods to GENerate an entirely new Pokemon. For example, I usually used an app back in Pokemon BW days that could generate Pokemon for me with perfect IVs and egg moves and be in whatever PokeBall I wanted so I didn't have to waste so much time making one legitimately.
