  • I just LOVE having a title that has literally nothing to do with me or my gameplay and just succeeds at making people unnecessarily compare me to a beloved older game I have nothing to do with

Takahashi chose that name as an homage to his earlier works and Xenoblade actually does fit in some references to both Gears and Saga.

Okay yeah you’re 100% right. I only played Xenoblade 1 before making this post and I just found out that KOS-MOS is in Xenoblade 2... so yeah, whoops
What is a valid criticism of gaming journalism: The way IGN considers Melia one of the “weaker” characters in Xenoblade Chronicles isn’t very accurate

What isn’t a valid criticism of gaming journalism: OMG IGN said that Sonic Unleashed isn’t good! THATS NOT AN OPINION I SHARE WITH THEM! CANCEL IGN! TAKE DOWN THE SITE!

My problem is that the review video itself is awful. It's one thing to say a game has unresponsive controls, its another thing to use that as an excuse for not being good at the game. He also spent like two minutes just saying "game is bad" before getting to why he thinks that.

What do you mean by “use that as an excuse for not being good at the game?”

If you've seen the review you know what I'm talking about. He hardly uses the main mechanic-the boost-and there's even a point in the video where he stops boosting so he goes slow, sees a dash ramp ahead of him, and deliberately jumps over it into a pit. He could just admit he's not the best at it instead of saying "the jump button is unresponsive." I've played Unleashed and the jump feels fine.
Nintendo calling Daisy princess of Sarasaland in promotional material is like, the only mention the Super Mario Land series has ever gotten before Mario Maker 2
Bored so here’s my idea for the Project X Zone 3 roster with a mostly equal amount of characters per company

Yeah about that last one... We need something shocking after Segata and Bandai Namco owns the rights to a lot of DBZ games, so I think it fits

I also want to include NPC’s of other characters like maybe Klonoa or Mega Man to run the gallery/have a special non playable role.

Also I have no idea about who I would make the villains, maybe I’ll decide them another time
Making a product name have rändōm äccëntś ön ït honestly just looks so unprofessional and looks like something a ten year old would do
I think the dumbest profile post I’ve ever made on Smashboards is when I said people shouldnt be complaining about Sword and Shield being bad because IGN gave it a good score... yeah that’s an argument built upon a whole load of crap and I pretty much believe the opposite now
I just downloaded the mobile port of Chrono Trigger, next time a kid on the bus asks me if I have any games on my phone, I’m gonna do what’s called a pro-gamer move
I don’t know how or why I thought this as a kid, but I used to think Kirby and King Dedede were brothers... But not just any brothers, they were the “Super Smash Bros.” in the title of the game
There are probably lots of liberal American politicians who know socialism isn’t bad in any way like people on the right make it out to be, but can’t say anything about it in fear of them being harshly criticized
    Wigglerman
    Wigglerman
I'm confused by this. You're saying liberal politicians believe Socialism is good but just don't say so? And the right make it sound like Socialism is 'the devil'?
What if Geno was in Smash?

What if 2B was in Smash?

What if Final Fantasy was in Smash?
Do people who say Edelgard from Fire Emblem: Three Houses caused an “unnecessary war” know they’re literally advocating against democracy?

Imagine earnestly wanting to let random bozos on the street decide important political decisions, and thinking it's worth going to war for such a "right".

How, exactly, does it advocate against democracy?
Joke/weird characters (Or any characters for that matter) don’t really work in Smash unless you can accurately portray their character. That’s why I really don’t want Tetris block in Smash, and would much prefer Arle to represent Puzzle games, which is a genre desperately needs better representation in Smash
The city I live in has been hit with a massive blizzard, making it impossible to drive around.

To make sure essential workers can still work, people who own snowmobiles are kind enough to escort healthcare workers to their workplaces... if that’s not the most Canadian thing ever, I don’t know what is
Smash fans only have like, four different types of criticism against characters. Even if the criticism is proven invalid when another character is added

There’s also the whole “If they chose a rep from (company) it would have been (character)”

I mean, that makes sense sometimes but a lot of the time when people use it it’s just because they’re biased against a certain character

I’m typically open to almost any character - even if I don’t even know them. I used to be into gate keeping during Brawl and 4 but I loosened up. On the others I’m 50/50 with Spirits being a deconfirmation (though I do think it’s 100% for Spirit Events like RE and such), Assist Trophies are a hard deconfirm, and FP2 Mii Outfits are a hard deconfirm, FP1 outfits could possibly happen but who knows. Other than that, I would be very happy to be proven wrong.
There’s nothing wrong with the way Ultimate punishes you for losing an online match. Saying there is a problem is just ridiculous. You can prefer the way Smash 4 did it, but Ultimate’s punishment system is in no way a huge mess like people say it is.

It's cryptic and confusing. And high or low GSP, GSP gain and loss become extremely small while at middle GSP it becomes volatile. This makes it really confusing as to how much GSP is actually supposed to be worth.

Not to mention the only ranks are "Elite" and "not Elite", and its fickle barrier for entry makes it easy for a play to get caught in an awkward spot where they're constantly dropping in and out of a Elite every couple games.

Ideally I also think they should have separate ranked and unranked modes. Some people just don't want to be ranked and that's okay. An unranked online would also be a good place to experiment with characters and strategies, kind of like friendlies. What we have right now is a ranking system that tries to appeal to both casuals and competitive players and just fails at both.

Most of the problem we have is with Preferences. We set our preferences then it doesn't work. Not to mention the trolls that are sprawling to purposefully lose GPS and just pwn you ten thousand times.

people just gotta stop taking smash ultimate quickplay so seriously
The full context for the “speech” where Hayao Miazaki says “Anime was a mistake” actually makes some good points about the industry and the artform. Miazaki was obviously just trying to get shock value, and make his quote memorable. And just remember what he says in the full quote is 100% not true of all anime, and his “anime was a mistake” line is in no way indicative of the rest of the quote
I really wish more big game studios were more generous when it comes to collections. By that I mean, I wish they included obscure titles, strange ports, and small spinoffs in their collections. The Street Fighter Collection should include each home console release of the games, along with the Movie game and 2010. Castlevania collection should include 64, Haunted Castle/Vampire Killer, and Dracula X. Mega Man Legacy Collection could include the GameBoy titles, Wily Wars, Soccer or even the DOS games.

There’s no way the games would be rereleased otherwise... So why not?
I’ve never really understood why people say Galaxy’s motion controls are outdated and bad. The only controls that feel gimmicky are in completely optional galaxies, which offer a good challenge. They’re also really fun because they’re some of the only levels in the game (Along with comet challenges) that don’t feel insultingly easy

I thought Galaxy did a really good job with their motion controls. Never had any issues with it until my remotes started turning to ****.

As a little girl living in a suburban western Colorado home (in the past), I personally think no. They've always been so unique and responsive, even if I'm shaking my hand and just sitting there. Galaxy has always been a thrilling out of this world experience. But I'll do have to say, it did kinda age badly in my book since it's a bit too easy. Lowkey made my view on Odyssey sour and made me consider not buying Odyssey whatsoever.
I’ve just realized that the next SNES Online games are actually pretty easy to predict, just look at whatever games Jaleco or Natsume pit on Virtual Console a while back. It’ll probably be on Switch eventually.
I haven’t really realized this before, but the aesthetics of the Donkey Kong Country Returns series actually take a surprising amount of inspiration from DK Jungle Climber and Jungle Beat
Pokken Tournament DX is probably the most forgettable Wii U Switch port

At least Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore had a big controversy behind it (the censorship from the international Wii U version being applied to all regions of the Switch version). Pokkén Tournament DX had virtually no publicity or marketing, like its Wii U original (yes, I know it was actually a Japan-exclusive arcade cabinet first), and it was released in 2017, a year for Nintendo that needs no introduction. I frequently forget that Pokkén even got ported to Switch, while I still remember that Tokyo Mirage Sessions did (though mostly for the aforementioned controversy).
Don’t look up “Persona 5 Change.org” what you get will be some of the saddest, most pathetic people on change.org using a website that’s supposed to be for actual important change in the world, for PERSONA 5 SWITCH PORT!!! WAAAAAAHHHHH!!
