Forces isn't even the newest game in the series. Team Sonic Racing is. Why don't we talk about that instead?

Because Team Sonic Racing isn't a mainline title and hardly anyone bought it.

Because it really hasn’t left much of an impression. It’s a racing game that didn’t have good marketing, is mediocre in most opinions I’ve seen from in and out of the fan base, and it really hasn’t moved the series forward very much at all-which is what we really need from Sonic Team right now.
I haven’t actually played the game mind you, but I will pick it up soon, as I’m tired of the news drought and it does look like a fun time.

The fans really should just focus on the IDW comics and fan games, there's plenty happening there.

If I may offer some advice, try to avoid getting in on Switch if you can. If Switch is your only option I'd still say go for it, but Team Sonic Racing is the only game I've ever played where the 30fps on Switch as opposed to 60fps on other systems actually affected my enjoyment of the game.

For a minor reason I must admit. It just doesn't lead to as good a sense of speed for me. So it's certainly possible to enjoy the Switch version. I'm just too picky about that particular part.
