  • So I've heard sunshine on Switch has really bad framerate issues. I then picked up 3D All-Stars, and didn't see any issues with Sunshine... at first. Halfway through the framerate suddenly dropped and stayed that way. It was awful, and so freakin' slow it was almost unplayable without getting nauseous. Has anyone else had any issues with the framerate? If Nintendo seriously noticed this issue allowed a game that runs this poorly, that would be really disappointing and awful.
Any Smash Pokémon rep made after 2008 can’t be fun. All they know is be human-like, predictable moveset, charge they neutral special, evolve from starter, mega evolution final smash and die

Greninja and Incineroar aren't bad y'know. Incineroar is a bit more finicky but Greninja is solid. Heavily popular, one of the main pokemon used in marketing and spin offs, etc. If you're talking Charizard and Lucario, they are fine as well. Also, Lucario and Greninja are the only charging neutral specials in Pokemon's smash reps (excluding Squirtles Water Gun). That's a whole ****load of stereotypes right there.

I feel like for so many people, seeing everyone talk about how great something is, but having no interest in it or a way/enough time to experience it automatically turns into hate for that series and the fandom.
That’s a huge problem, and please don’t let this happen to you
Yeah, most Smash fans probably should realize there’s a difference between characters from games they enjoy and characters who should be in Smash, but personally insulting someone for wanting an obscure character in Smash is just immature
Wait, Kirby Fighters 2 isn’t free to play? Okay I apologize to the three people in the entire world who like the original kirby fighters, but there is no way I’m buying that
I’m surprised more people aren’t talking about the fact that there’s a music track in Smash that’s from Fire Emblem Heroes, a mobile game, meaning mobile games count as video games when it comes to Smash...

    ...Angry Birds for Mii Hats!
If I was a YouTuber I would have seperate videos for “favorite games of (year)” and “best games of (year)” and there would probably be a lot of differences between the two.

For example, my favorite game of 2020 would probably be Super Mario 3D All-Stars but there’s no way I would call that the best game of 2020
It’s stupid to get salty over partner showcases. The only reason people were disappointed at first was because some leaker called it a nintendo direct not knowing it was only first-party. It makes sense to be salty then but having the same hatred for current partner showcase directs is just immature

People just want a general Direct, even though having one is currently impossible without needlessly putting head staffers at risk. They're too angry to notice that we're getting various types of Directs a lot more often than we're used to.

With all the latest shadow drops, I think a Nintendo Direct would probably have been possible, but yeah it would put people at risk, and hurt the image of the company

Nintendo just can’t be sure enough of their release schedule to make a direct. As far as they know, half of their titles could suddenly get delayed or even cancelled. How awful would it be to get a direct and then half of the titles your email looking forward too got delayed? Even if people could just suck it up, there are still a whole bunch of variables that make a direct a risky move, and not the ideal way to reveal titles.
Sakurai, make a free assist trophy update please. I want Elec Man, Advance Wars Squadron and Kururin to return. Also, a bully from SM64, Master Kohga and Akira Howard should be added
If Doomslayer/Doomguy got into Smash, whatever Sakurai decides to call him will probably be what he is know as by the fanbase in the future.

I posted something like this earlier, but I don't think people understood why so Im making it more clear here:

Well, if he was called Doomslayer in Smash, it would feelstrange to call him Doomguy in discussions about Smash, wouldn't it? It's like saying "I main Ren Amamiya in Smash" or "Red's the best character in Smash!" Sure its not wrong to call the characters that, but it just feels... off.

Obviously, Smash is a bigger franchise than Doom, and there would be a lot of discussion between those two fanbases.
So, if Doom fans, who probably don't really care about calling him Doomguy or Doomslayer see litteraly everyone calling him "Doomslayer," yeah they would feel more compelled to call him by that name
So... I only now just played SM64 on 3D All-Stars. Don’t ask me how I havent played it before, I just haven’t.

So, I was worried it wouldn’t be worth the hype. To my delight, it was. Seeing the amazing game that people were talking about this whole time was just a magical experience. It’s seriously on track to becoming my all-time favourite game
Remaping buttons for specific games or having the ability to inverse controls is such a basic yet helpful feature, that it’s really annoying how Nintendo doesn’t just add that to their games
I know “so long gay bowser” was changed because Super Mario 3D All-Stars uses a Japanese updated version of the game and he isn’t called Bowser in Japan...

But I honestly just prefer imagining hes now saying “bye bi”
    Janx_uwu

So either Bowser changed sexuality and Mario happily changed his catchphrase to accommodate to Bowser's preferences...
Or Bowser has stayed the same in terms of sexuality and Mario's just being an ignorant douche who thinks bi and gay are the same thing.

Nintendo probably greatly regrets that they told Martinet to say "So long K. Bowser" seeing as it will be forever remembered as "so long gay bowser", even after this change in 3D allstars.
Since it’s now a bit more clear what exactly a partner showcase is, I honestly think I can get a lot more hyped for the next one

I kept my expectations low last time, only to be disappointed even further. Don't get super excited, when it'll probably be "Dance Monkey the Direct" v2

It’s just as likely to be “Collection if SaGa in the direct” v2 so I think I can have a little bit of hype for this direct
Nintendo fans: Nintendo, until you make more legacy content, I’m going to pirate you’re games. As soon as you release them, I will stop

Nintendo: *Releases Super Mario 3D All-Stars”

Nintendo fans: Ha! I’m not paying $80 for something I can just emulate!

Just know I’m not talking about every Nintendo fan ever. There are absolutely some Nintendo fans like this

I'm personally against pirating current and past gen/a few past gen games, but when it comes to games like the NES/SNES/64/GB/GBA, I feel no real shame, since there's no way to play these games anymore while paying for them where the money isn't just going into the hands of a 2nd hand seller.

If Nintendo still had an Eshop or a way to buy more of their old games on the Switch, I'd gladly buy them again, but they just rarely do anymore.
I absolutely hate the "Stop criticizing Ocarina of Time!" crowd. Sorry bud, but people can have opinions different from yours, and the game held up a lot better in 1998 then it does now.

The story, world, graphics and gameplay are all just okay. It doesn't really do anything you can't see in basically every other Zelda game, and practically any action game. And no, don't say the time travel stuff, because that barely contributes to the game at all.

Ocarina of Time can be really fun at times, but it just feels like the skeleton of an incredible game. Something like Majora's Mask takes everything it does and makes it better, and it's a lot more fun.

It's like their brains absolutely cannot comprehend the fact that people don't like it as much as them, and their nostalgia completely shuts down any thought that someone else criticizing something is "Just making it up for attention!" or "Probably hasn't even played the game right!'

You can prefer Ocarina of Time, and I can prefer whatever I had more fun with so just stfu
“Gender reveal party” is the latest meme that starts off pretty funny but derails really REALLY quickly

I feel like a boomer for saying this, but seriously has anyone ever heard of “It was funny the first time”

I would never do a gender reveal party. We never did it for both of our kids and I see it as a self-promoting, attention-craving affair that is reflective of our society. If that makes me a boomer or a crotchety old fart, than that’s fine lol. Seriously, when the doctor asked if we wanted to know the gender, we were like “Yeah, sure.” The second kid, my wife texted me as I was at work and couldn’t take the time off to go to the hospital. I will admit that the story of a dad-to-be getting angry and storming off because there second child was revealed to be a girl. All because he wanted a son so he can play baseball with him. That made me feel better as a person and a father. I was overjoyed to learn our second child would be a girl.
Honestly, I’m not a big fan of games being shadowdropped. Obviously Nintendo has no choice but to shadowdrop titles, but it kind of makes the titles feel like an afterthought in my mind, and aren’t nearly as hype as they would be if it was in a direct. And don’t even get me started on how awful it would be if a Smash character was shadowdropped

That would be the worse to have a Smash newcomer shadowdropped. I want to react with the crowd, I don't like to watch a new Smash reveal afterwards.

As much as I don't like shadowdrops, I've come to expect them from Nintendo now because they've been using them to announce all their first-party games since May, and I doubt we'll get another general Direct anytime soon. That said, I have to agree that my one biggest fear is if the next Smash fighter gets shadowdropped. Hype is a massive part of Smash reveals, and not being able to react with the crowd, especially if Nintendo decides to spoil who the next fighter is in the video title or tweet caption, would take a massive chunk of fans' hype and enjoyment away. I'm hopeful that they'll do like Byleth and schedule a Sakurai Presents for the next fighter before saying who they are, and reveal them there.
It's dumb how Capcom calls it "Ultra Street Fighter II: The FINAL CHALLENGERS" when the only two new characters are reskins of other characters with tiny alterations

Like come on, putting characters like Dan, Sakura or even Final Fight characters in Street Fighter II would have been awesome!
