I didn't have any access to the internet when I was younger, so my brother showed me any new fighter reveals. I never knew about this till about last year.

I saw this when I was 13 at school, aside from Doc since he was in melee, and Bowser Jr.
I never heard of Shulk or Duck Hunt
and I thought it was fake because Dark Pit, not because of clones because I expected that to happen, it was because of I never heard of him and thought he was made for smash or looks like a edited Pit, just colored black.

You can't blame people for not believing it when the Mr. Game and Watch model just looks ridiculous, the way his hand is in Wario's box. I'm too lazy to check Smash 3DS to see if that's actually in the final game, but I hope it's not

It's not, it's a shadow. Due to the poor lighting in the original leak, Wario's shoulder just looks like a black blob, making people back then think it was Mr.G&W's hand clipping into his box.

I was there through the whole chaos. "Shulk's a photo-shopped Little Mac", "Dr.Mario's render isn't new", "Wario's missing an eye", "Mr.G&W's hand is in Wario's square", 4chan making their own fake Duck Hunt render based off of Pluto from Kingdom Hearts.

I feel like my feelings towards Sm4sh have soured over the years since, Ultimate is just the subjectively better game, and Sm4sh never really clicked with me back then.
