I'm pretty sure there's a lot more steps involved than that for a full scale WAR to happen tbf

I agree that we shouldn't be pointing fingers, but I really doubt we'll ever actually go to war with China. Honestly the the modern nuclear age I think large wars between nations of that size will largely be a thing of the past, unless everyone involved has a death wish.
Still when these things happen the question we should be asking should never be "who can we blame?", but rather "what can we do in the future to keep this from happening again?"
Since viruses are naturally occurring and we can never be certain when a new strain will next mutate, we need to be better prepared to stop or at least slow the spread the next time another dangerous one pops up.
