The East Blue Saga is still one of the best Sagas in One Piece in my opinion. It's when Luffy starts his journey to become the King of the Pirates and it's when Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji all come aboard to join the crew. Nostalgia runs strong here and for good reason. I love "We Are" it's one of the best One Piece openings along with "Brand New World", "Share the World", "We Go!", "Wake Up", and "Over the Top". I can't really choose which opening out of those 6 are the best because they're all so good.

I’m watching it for the first time and I’m currently at Water 7. It starts off super strong and it’s a really heartbreaking arc. It’s a little awkward at the exact moment I’m watching, but I know it’s gonna get better. I am enjoying it, but after 250 episodes I’m honestly a little impatient for some explanation about Ace, Whitebeard, Blackbeard etc.

Also don’t forget about Bon Voyage. That’s a great opening too

Champion of Hyrule Hope you enjoy it! That's about the point where I started reading the series weekly. Some arcs can get bogged down by pacing problems in the anime (the people behind the anime don't want to go beyond where the manga is, so a single manga chapter is stretched out for a whole episode at points), but the series is consistently great in my opinion. Not sure if you're there yet, but the Sea Train "introduces" one of the best characters in the series in my eyes.

Champion of Hyrule believe me, you'll find out what triggers the Summit War very soon.

Nearing the end of the Baratie arc. I find it hilarious that Don Krieg's crew (and Krieg himself - https://i4.imggur.net/one-piece/64/one-piece-1696849.jpg) thinks that Krieg's the strongest, and it makes me want to see him saying that to someone like Whitebeard... moments before Whitebeard beats him just by staring at him.
