I agree with your friend. I'd enjoy a game more by playing it myself, depending on the game itself.

The point of my comment is to highlight the irony of said statement. A lot of sports enthutiast rarely even play the sport they claim to highly enjoy, but they instead prefer to watch other people on TV play them.

As Smash players, nothing stops us from doing both.
My dream is to no longer have to dream.

me when i have a nightmare about paying rent
The amount of 0-death clips I have with Byleth is bound to make someone uncomfterble...
I don't even know when people started underrating Ganondorf so much, and I also don't understand. I'm pretty sure most of people's reasoning is just, "well, he's slow", without any real detail behind it.

Most of Ganondorf's aerials are safe on shield, including one pretty broken Bair. His Bair is the strongest non-Zelda Bair, even killing slightly earlier than Charizard, Bowser & K.Rool's. Not only that, the stupid thing is -4 on shield. Even standard moves like his Jab and Dash Attack are -8 & -9, respectively. That's seriously not that bad, and even safe on a couple of character's shields. For reference, the standard Jab 1 is no better than -10 on shield, and something like DK's Dash Attack is -14 (which is considered a good Dash Attack).

He's literally that slow, and it's not like I see that many players abuse his "bad" recovery. His hitboxes are big and hit like a truck.

Preach, brother! As majorly a Ganondorf main during the SSB4 days (Before Cloud came out), and as one who played a little bit of him during Ultimate, I can safely say that Ganondorf's got the power to make up for his lack of mobility. I don't even care if he's got a lack of decent recovery or slow movement speed, I'm the kind of guy that likes raw damage, so Ganondorf was one of the best for me!

"DK's Dash Attack is -14 (which is considered a good Dash Attack)."

I'm sorry, I can't stop being bothered by this.
You have no pride as a Byleth user if you're putting clips where you're 0-death'ing DK.
Byleth's ****ty arrow sucks, and the fact some people even insist on using it is irksome on it's very own. Even MKLeo uses it, and I legitimately wonder why. It's not even that good for edgeguarding. You just jump or airdodge, and you'll never fall for it, and it's not like it gives Byleth any real positional advantage from said jump or airdodge.

You know what's a good edgeguarding tool? Fair, Nair and virtually anything else Byleth has.
I have a theory that The Universe is sending me signals. I tend to notice them through random messages on people's shirts, the songs I listen to and ocassional message quotes I find.

In the field of Quantum Mechanics, coincidences don't exist.

I mean, the idea the universe tells people to do things is kinda crazy enough as is.

No hate tho, I just think your comments are funny is all. We good, fam.

It doesn't tell anyone what to do, it just gives you directions when you don't know where to go... why else do you think people are so lost, in the world, nowadays? I heard 24 out of 25 people don't know why they wake up in the morning. It's sad.

Part of that idea of Quantum Mechanics has to do with being able to percieve it, but only if you're open to it. Magic and prayer are said to work in basically the same way, and it doesn't seem like coincidence to me.

Look up "the double slit experiment", if you're interested.

If you're aspiring to be competitive and actualy want to improve in the game, Quickplay is just asking to lose any self-respect. Don't be me. Please, do Arenas and try to seek like-minded people that have at least some idea of the game.

As sounds as this is, I've already decided to make it my mantra that this is not something I really want. I'm avoiding quickplay, but I'm no longer seeking skill.

But just to make sure, is quickplay okay to play if you're not competitive?
    Oz o:
    Oz o:
This is just my suggestion on people who want to improve. You can do whatever you want, at the end of the day. And if anything, you in particular, like me, Quickplay isn't always the place for us.

You can strive to improve without necessarily being competitive.

Uh, I came back. AND I'm going to therapy tomorrow.
How is it expected of people to play better in tournament? I play in Nerfed Mode.
Imagine people actually using Wavelands and Wavedashes for something useful instead of a pseudo taunt.
It's Smash 4 Perfect Pivot all over again.
Looking to submit one of my Byleth clips to XStyles' "The Salt is Real" video series. Competition is looking too easy, if you ask me. Most Byleths just do about the same reads with Down B and the arrow.
My Zelda clips are the very proof I could never drop her...

Funny enough, when I transitioned from playing Smash 64 into Ultimate, one of the characters I was dying to try was Zelda. Now she's one of my consistent picks.
Sometimes it confuses me as to how people perceive the way I look, in terms of age. When I tell some people I’m 25, they sometimes don’t seem to make any sort of remark, making me think they aren’t surprised.

On the other hand, I’ve gotten people to go as far to think I’m a minor, and I'm actually not surprised.

It's confusing, and I'm not sure what to think.

The Universe is punishing me, and I know I deserve it. It's a constant reminder that I am not following my true path.

    No more.
I love the song "Counting Stars", by One Republic. It reminds me of my hopes and dreams.
A lot of people in the Internet make it seem that they're so far removed from reality, that they go as far as to make "jokes" about really bad things. To them, in their own little computer and Internet forum world, they're probably "cool" and "edgy" for trying to make humour of things like 9/11 and The Holocaust.

In what way this is funny? You aren't cool. You're a little **** trying to sound funny and edgy, and no wonder you're miserable, depressed and living in front of a computer screen.

    Keep it up.

At least I can let go of seriously bad things that aren't directed at me. The inability to do so is super unhealthy.

Zard, I'm not any one of those things. I actually learned because I used to be depressed and ****. It's not like I go around my day thinking how ****ty people can be behind a computer screen.

    I have Smash, for that.

I was never a fan of the Big Mac and the Whopper. I just like the classic cheeseburger variations with cheddar, pickles and ketchup. ):
I'm so good and so bad, that I somehow manage to SD 3 times in the same match against one of our top players

AND STILL TAKE THEM TO LAST STOCK.
Why does it feel like some people are a lot friendlier in person? I know some people that sound like an ass, online.

for me, it's the exact opposite - I lose my temper really easily IRL but am very calm and casual online.
Byleth has particularly taught me the importance of spacing. Spacing is a lot more of just throwing hitboxes without getting punished. It's also being able to tell how much range you have before being able to perform an action, such as when it comes to initial dashes.

I'm using it both for me and against opponents.
I feel most players have access to 70-80% of their full capabilities, consistently. I feel like I'm only stuck at 20-30%. It's very frustrating, and baffling seeing people you know you're definitely matched with consistently make Top 5 when you know you can also do that, but constantly underperform to the point you can't stop wondering,

Is the Universe really against me that much?

I've long since accepted that I'm not the best player in the world. If I can beat games and access content through skill, I'm fine with that and don't really feel like I need to be competitive unless achievement systems are involved.
    Oz o:
    Oz o:
There's nothing wrong with the way you think. But me, personally, I really want to achieve something and make a name for myself. I don't care about being the best in the world, in all honesty. If I could beat some Top 10 in the world at least once, I'd be fine with it. I'd "just" like to be recognized as the best with my character, such as Zelda, Corrin and even Byleth.

I legitimately felt I was at least a Top 5 Zelda, but it's not like my tournament results even come close to supporting that. I feel the current "best" Zeldas don't let out her potential at all, but it's not me bashing them either.

Then there's me on my way to capping my knowledge of Smash while performing at 10% capacity...
