  • I pity the people who have to cut my hair. They're extremely patient with every one of my details. Most guys just go in and show a picture, or whatever.
Sometimes it concerns me that people might come to think that I have this intimidating look on my face when I go to play Smash, at the weeklies. That's mostly the case when I just want to focus and practice to get better. I'm not like other people that can just laugh things off, since it tends to distract me.

Even with friends, sometimes I just want to focus and really try to improve. Improving is fun for me, not just idly playing for hours.

I spiked a Fox once per stock, and it never stops being satisfying. I'm really getting the hang of spiking their recovery with Byleth.

Byleth's Dair is ridiculous. I've already killed two people at 0 WITH A KILL CAM. A literal 0-death.
I've been reading consistently in the past few days. Reading, is something I've been meaning to pick up for years. I would've struggled to read 5-10 pages- but today, I am almost finished reading 100 pages of a light novel.

I even struggled to finish *mangas*.

You've had the feeling before, at least. This is fairly new to me. When I was younger, my parents made me read and I literally had no idea why people even read, other than stuff like homework.

Feels good to finally 'unlock' the ability to let yourself get engrossed/lost in the text, let your mind do all the work without even realizing.

Yeah, you kind of forget you're even reading text at times. Your mind is doing the processing, and you're not even consciously thinking about it.
Do you ever feel like your life is literally a written script and you struggle SO MUCH to break from it? It's excrutiating to deviate from it.

Fate basically likes to turn my Tuesdays into an excruciating experience, for no apparent reason.
As an almost 25-year old that doesn't look almost-25, I'm not surprised people that look older than me usually very rarely are.
People who say Corrin is slow either aren't foxthrotting or have literally no idea his frame data actually works.

The fact some people seem to legitimately think Ike is faster blows my mind in so many ways.

He's got the 46th fastest initial dash, which isn't horribly slow but it's still in the bottom half. Overall Corrin's mobility is actually really similar to Ivysaur's, which isn't all that great.

Interestingly Ike has a much more decent air speed then I expected. Ground speed is still overall more important imo, but I'm still surprised.
    Byleth compilation yes or yes.

You don't know how much I appreciate your enthusiasm.

I'll finish it. I basically got all the plays, but I'd really like to get one more I have in mind.
I don't hate my life, by the way.

    I just hate myself.

So, you say that you're better off than a lot of people. Why do you hate yourself then?

I think I'll just leave it at that, for the time being. I wouldn't want to get all personal here (not now, anyway).

    Thanks, I suppose.
I think my constant underperformance in Smash only makes me realize how much I hate my life, and have basically nothing going for it other than material possesions.

It doesn't matter what you have, if you're but an absolute loser on the inside.
Don't you just love making an absolute fool of yourself in bracket, literally, EVERY single week.

Why do people even talk about practice like you're just supposed to put in hours and you're suddenly good. This is absolute bull****. I play multiple times a week, online AND offline, and I still **** up literally everything.
I never felt like quitting so many ****ing times since I started playing this game...

I'd give it a go, but I'm definitely not in the mood. Sorry.
I want to do a Byleth combo video but I’m not sure if I should just wait...
Damn, got some real Byleth plays.

like real **** not a dumb roll read or shield break with Down B
Stumbled upon this Cloud player in Quickplay, earlier. Dude started kicking my ass for the first 2-3 matches, then I really turned things up with Byleth. It's really cool when you play someone that's about as good as you, and you can tell the other person is enjoying it, because you find yourself playing over 10 matches.
Byleth makes my hands and left wrist hurt. Should I expect that from a new character, or what? Should I take constant breaks?

My knuckles were hurting (from grabbing the controller) after just 1-2 hours of play, earlier.

I don't usually play smash for that long so I think breaks are a good idea.
Byleth's grab game isn't even that bad. Just be grateful they have a Frame 6 standing grab (tied for fastest in the game, especially for a slow "sword" character). I grab a solid amount with Byleth, since you always put them in shield. The follow also aren't terrible, even if they're not garanteed. D-Throw pretty much always sends unto tech on a platform and F-Throw tends to send either a perfect position for tipper Fair and sometimes forces people to jump (Uair).

I feel like people just take what Sakurai said too literally. I was actually afraid when he said that, but the fact that Byleth has a Frame 6 standing grab is massively better than what could've been Frame 9-10.
Let's be honest, how many people use chick Byleth just because she's hot and because she's the brand new DLC.

    ****ing trends.

It’s not a problem on its own, it just feels lame. Even lamer when they legitimately pretend the character is strictly a she and pretend there’s not a male version.
