Yeah, it was an eye opener for me too. It kinda brought me back down to earth and made me remember I don't like traveling or being in crowds or dealing with most people. But most importantly, I realized that I didn't want to dedicate my entire life to Smash. There's just far too many interesting and enjoyable things in life to spend as much time as he did on one game. I definitely don't want to put myself in a position where it controls me instead.

ZeRo caught a lot of **** for saying those things, but I think it was probably more helpful than any other top player advice. It really helped put things in perspective. That what being the best actually entails is entirely different than what it's romanticized as. And that really helped me in seeing that trying to change people's minds on the viability of Zelda was silly and that the "reward" for doing all that work was just dealing with more unwanted ****.
