That was a fun video. I quite liked the Up-B on the platform. It seems you have a good understanding of your opponent's style that lets you get those reads. The only thing I would add is that Up-Tilt can lead into Up-air under the right circumstances. If you think your opponent is going to DI up or jump, or if they're just not on the ball, it can be a good follow up.

Yeah, I know it does lead to it, but it's moreso in the mid percents or so. This is my usual training partner, and I tend to catch a lot of his jumps. It's because of that, I tend to be able to read jumps in general, here and there.

I want to show you that cool one that was Parry > D-air > Kick. Basically what I did, but with Kick instead of Up-B.

I legit only did the combo once because of what I read, here. It was at pretty high percents, too... (+rage)

I'm glad that was able to help you. If you do the Up-air frame perfect or near, there is only a small window that your opponent can escape at around 30 IIRC. And yeah, that Kick combo seems pretty cool. I'll see if I can parry a little more than I do.

I'll try to practice U-air more. It's insanely good. Tons of damage, beats out a lot of moves and kills really well. I think I got a frametrap once which was Kick > Opponent Airdodge and I U-aired them while reaching the ground. You can also do the opposite. I once accidentally just did Kick > Kick... lol.

Now take that idea then apply it to the Phantom and imagine how many Up-air traps you can setup with it.

I would definitely use it at the ledge...if I actually remember I have the damn thing. Managed to use it ONCE in a match, so that's progress? The only exception would be if I find myself getting too overwhelmed by campy characters like Young Link and Isabelle or Villager.

Using Phantom at the ledge isn't rocket science, right? You basically narrow down their options to roll and ledge jump.
S

Sure. There are only a few options you can take at the ledge. Using it center stage, to force an Inkling to jump and spiking Inkling into it, like I did on accident not too long ago, is another story entirely.
