that's not how betas work. Sakurai considers the two to be separate games.

Then it's just the demo for the real Smash 4 if that's how you want to look at it

a demo is defined as "a demonstration of a product or technique." that is not what Smash 3DS is. if it were a demo, it would've entirely featured content found in the Wii U game. calling it a "demo" would make it nothing more than false advertising, as a main mode, some stages, most trophies and even some music tracks are not featured in the Wii U game.

The way I see it, saying that Smash Wii U isn't Smash 4 like Smash 3DS is like saying Platinum/Emerald/Crystal is a separate Generation to Diamond and Pearl/Ruby and Sapphire/Silver and Gold, when really they're just the complete/better versions.
