I rarely stick to anything so that’s hard to answer lol.

I like writing poetry every now and then.

Right now, I’m working with this Computer Graphics program called blender. It’s free and open source. You should try it, it’s preeeetty nice, if interested in artistic expressions.

I kinda stopped playing fighting games as much, since what I wanted out of them was lacking (the artistic expression). It was there, but not to the degree I wanted. So, I switched to other mediums, and behold, here I am now lol.

Holy ****, that’s pretty much the exact same reason I started getting into the competitive smash 4. But I get bored fast and switch from medium to medium. Used to play violin, the piano, and the guitar at different points in my life, but got bored of each one before I developed all that much skill. That and I like to come up with plots for short stories every now and then that I never finish.

Thought smash would give me a little of what I wanted but hell, I switch characters every week in this game too lol. I think I finally found some interest in Lucas (with Haka as my inspiration) but who knows how long it’ll last

I decided to perma-main Zard, not because he’s some incredibly deep character with tons of stuff to do, rather because he’s basic and fundamentals-based.

But, artistic expression doesn’t need to come from characters that have everything tool in the box. Zangief players can write their own style into Zangief, who’s on parallel with ganon in terms of options. It’s just about how comfortable you are with your character.

I play Zard how I always play characters; reactive defense with spurts of aggression. Because I’m deceloped to the point of real comfort with Zard, and can move however I please (if I kept playing smash, I would be the glutonny of Zard lol).

I’d recommend you to just choose someone for the long-haul, and pick up a medium that really fits with what you want to do. I also tried writing a book (a story), but never finished it. I have what you have (a big imagination, but shortsighted in technical ability. At least I think we’re similar in that regard).

I know how it feels to have amazing ideas, but having to do the boring stuff (going over the basics over and over again, practicing long tones until you’re blue in the face, still life drawings, etc...) and it can be annoying, but a way I thought about it, is that those boring practice stuff is just fuel to take you wherever you want to go.

I might be assuming too much about you, but I feel like you and i have similar artistic characteristics in this regard lol.

*boring practice stuff is fuel that can take you wherever you want to go idea-wise.

Nah man, you feel me lol.
It’s like a cruel joke; you have the imagination and the creative energy boils inside of you...but no way to let it out without getting bored half-way.

I wanna try to stick with Lucas long term. He just “feels” right. It also helps that Mother 3 really spoke to me.
