Hey! sure what kind of help you need? Matchup tips? Combos? Frame traps? etc

i'm pretty sure i have combos down atm, but help with matchups and frame traps would be great

Who do you struggle against?

Upsmash is probably one of his most safe moves, even on block, some people might mash their way in.

Upsmash into down tlit is a great frame trap, if blocked or whiffed. neutral a into downtlit also works well.

I wouldn't recommand downsmash for any frame trap though.

off the top of my head mainly heavies, dedede is a nightmare for me for some reason. general advice in most matchups would be appreciated though

and yeah i love baiting people with up smash, the helmet has literally no endlag x.x

oh, a friend of mine is actually strugging severely against my gnw as mario, would you also happen to have any knowledge on that mu from mario's perspective?

With King Dedede, you want to be using Bacon like 70% of the match, bacon shuts down everything dedede can do to you.

This includes Gordos, approaches, spacing, and the neurtal game. dedede players literally need to think before doing something, and by the time they figure out a way to approach you, you will be able to stop bacon and punish.

In semi-high level play, you don't wanna over use it like I did in the video, but do use it, its a very good tool against him, and you can juggle him for days with Nair, so make sure you do that too

As for Mario, Mario has better frame data than G&W, Mario players will usually get G&W in an odd position where he can downsmash, and upsmash for free. he can do a lot of frame traps and confuse G&W to thinking he's opened for a punish. so mario uses this a lot against him,

Mario can bait bucket with fireballs, and he can kill G&W at very crazy low percent with Up B on some stages like T&C. Mario definitely wins the matchup but not by much. only slight advantage

thanks a bunch, i honestly stay away from bacon most of the time in general, so i guess that might be why i'm struggling so much against dedede in particular. I've been told before that dedede is one of the characters most vulnerable to bacon, but i didn't know it was *that* important

any advice for DK?

With DK, you want to grab him A LOT, if you have trouble getting in, throw in like 1 or 2 bacon strips, or try foxtroting into shields.

DK struggles a lot on landing, he can't land properly, you can juggle him a few times with Nair, play mind games and jump after him, wait for the airdodge, and juggle once more.
Down throw into Upair (toot toot) kills him around 110/120 on Stages like FD, T&C, Smashvile, etc
