I don't know what ledge running glitch you are referring to but that is one of my favorite ways to get to the ledge. I miss it sometimes in 3.6 but I just figured it was because I don't practice it enough. Do you play with tap jump on?

The ledge running glitch is where characters can run on the ledge without falling off it. Previously, it was really hard to create, but in 3.6, it's really easy with holding the control stick diagonally. http://gfycat.com/DesertedAbsoluteBug

It screws me up sometimes now since I'd run to the ledge with my control stick diagonally up, expect to fall off and upB to grab the ledge, but I wouldn't run off and I'd Din's Fire instead.
I don't play with tap jump on. I think it's pretty hard to run off the ledge and grab it with the ribbon when tap jump is on.
