Mewtwo is my favorite Legendary, as well. In fact, he's my favorite Pokémon overall, and for the exact same reasons you said! I love his tragic backstory and character development, and I just adore Ambertwo. She was a really sweet character, even if she didn't get much screen time.

So thanks to your avi, I've been going crazy looking for Aitwo/Ambertwo pictures...she was a character for only 10 minutes, but her story is just so fascinating to me!

Personally, I think Mewtwo probably would've been a much warmer, calmer, and outgoing character if Ambertwo had lived. More likely than not, he and Ambertwo, along with the other clones, would've been Ash and co.'s friends from the get-go.

I, too, like looking at Ambertwo/Mewtwo fanart, as my avatar shows. I even found a picture that showed Mewtwo and Ambertwo as teenagers, with the artist saying it was what s/he thought would have become of Mewtwo and Ambertwo, had the latter survived. Give me a second and I'll post the link here for you to enjoy!

It would've been interesting to see, to say the least. In canon, as soon as Mewtwo breaks free, he wreaks havoc, and naively joins Giovanni. He gets betrayed and then just hates everything soon after.
