I've been okay. Haven't been able to play Smash for a few weeks. The games we played last (with Tero and Ramen obv) were fun though!

G&W DTilt got buffed in the patch, it's not Brawl level but it's better than before.

I myself can't play either cus I'm out of state until August.

Yeah I heard about it but haven't gotten to try it because I generally forget G&W exists in this game lol. But hey, baby steps will get him there.

Just haven't had access to my stuff, honestly.

Basically the buff significantly increased the BKB and slightly increased the KBG so it's not unsafe on hit at low percents and will kill at the ledge at about the same percents FTilt will. It's great for getting folks offstage.

Villager got a comboing DThrow too LOL

And how about those Marf buffs?

well, given how eh Villager's grab is, I actually like that he got that throw change.

As for Marth, I really like the Nair landing lag nerf over the jab just because I don't have to die for using an aerial to cover my landing if necessary. And it combos, so (vampire)

Couple more tweaks and we golden.

Yeah, it gives him more reward for landing a grab other than just damage or killing with BThrow.

I've heard most Marth mains are pretty content the way he is now. I forgot, Game & Watch's BAir landing lag got buffed... from 24 to 19 frames, lol. It's a big chunk but still really bad lag.

My only MAJOR irki with Marth at this point is Fair being unsafe on shield. He could use a lot of other tweaks to make things flow a lot better but...eh. Jab is kinda dumb so I'll just focus on that I guess.

Oh shoot really? That in itself makes me wanna try G&W. What was the landing lag in Brawl?

And I'll just say this... I'm not a fan of custom stages in general lol

Checking the Brawl boards it was 12 frames (what his NAir and UAir are now). To put the current amount in perspective it's one frame more than Marth's FAir landing lag (it does have a landing hitbox though). Once I can play again I plan to practice stuff like SHAD and B-reverse/wavebounce Chef among other things.

I just make custom stages for the jank lol

I hate jank so much @__@ I'd probably like it more if I had characters with janky customs.

But kinda glad that G&W sucks because bucket shenanigans in teams is ugh.

It depends on what the jank is tbh.Crescent Slash isn't jank, at least with throw/grab combos from it?

I really think G&W only needs a few tweaks to be viable. Speed up jab to rapid jab transition, increase knockback/damage on FAir, probably an autocancel or less landing lag. That's mainly what I'd ask for.

Apparently is USmash is only 38 frames, 20 or so have invincibility.

And slight knockback buff to FSmash prolly. Having the lingering hitbox back would be nice too.

Marth has Fair>Crescent Slash which can kill as well. It's actually a better recovery move than you'd think because it's invincible in air from frames 1-10 so it's not easy to edgeguard. He also gets Jigglypuff airspeed as he falls to the ground after.

I agree with what you said for G&W. Fair is so underwhelming. Maybe take some of Nair's (ridiculous) damage and stuff it into Fair. It'd make his air game more complete and he already has a much better ground game compared to Brawl. Then he'd mostly have to deal with unreliable kills and rage but I think he'd be okay.

Probably my least favorite buff this patch was Charizard's UThrow buff. Okay, let's take a character with a great grab range and give him a throw that's comparable to Mewtwo's, only if there are any platforms above him when he uses the throw he'll automatically land on the highest one, drastically lowering the kill percent. Oh, and it's also on a really heavy character so it can also get further buffs from rage.

But yeah, I don't like rage much. I main Game & Watch who mostly gets screwed by rage

Whoops, early post. He mostly gets screwed by rage but then you have Charizard who's basically rage: the character.

G&W technically has a kill setup in DThrow to UAir but it's very percent specific. If FAir hit harder he'd have a better aerial kill option (UAir is tricky to link) which would help tremendously.

The way I see it, better to a bad character like Charizard than someone who doesn't need it.

Im aware of the Uair but like I said it doesn't seem too reliable
