PM here on smashboards. If I'm on my computer, steam will probably be running. My ID is UAHandorin.
Hey, I saw you go to UTC. I'm a fellow Moc. Do you want to get together and Smash sometime?

I'm a melee guy. I don't have a tv or anything though, so I'd have to go to your place.

Alright, we can probably do that. My parents probably wouldn't be thrilled with me inviting a stranger to our house, although it would help if I introduce you as a UTC guy and not some stranger from the internet. Maybe we should meet up beforehand. Are you on Facebook? I know some people in the business school so maybe we have some mutual friends.

We could do that, maybe during school. I don't really know too many people in the business school. I might know faces, but I haven't really interacted with many. Where do you live? Downtown area?
waiting on swiss to make the hydra and we should be set.

You can tell him to make a random name. Knowing swiss though, He'll try to make us look like idiots.
    Bahaha! That's great!

I'll have to do the scumbag Steve of public transportation and go steal the sign sometime.
Fatty foods don't directly make you fat, excess in caloric intake makes you fat. When you eat more calories than your average caloric maintenance, a.k.a. the amount of calories you need to eat in order to maintain your weight (called BMR, there are calculators online for figuring out your BMR btw), your body ends up storing the excess calories as fat cells because it doesn't need that many calories in one day. On the same coin, if you maintain a caloric deficit by eating less than your maintenance, your body will burn up stored fat cells in order to meet your maintenance for the day. That's how weight is lost.

A pound is worth 3500 calories (roughly), so if you maintain a deficit of 500 calories a day, you will lose exactly one pound after 7 days.
Regarding the Keto diet: I was considering doing it, but I more or less resigned myself to a normal diet of simply maintaining a deficit to lose weight through a normal protein/carb/fat spread because it's not necessary for me to retain muscle mass at the moment. However, Ketosis is very effective in neutralizing fats and can help break down body fat percentage quickly while retaining most of your muscle mass (that is, if you have a muscular figure.)

Basically, your body is in a constant state of using sugars from carbs to fuel your system, thus your body does not expend fat cells until there are no more sugars in the bloodstream. This is called "Glycolysis." Ketosis is when your body adapts to using fats before sugars. Essentially, by eating more fats than normal (to enter ketosis, around 65% of your caloric intake should be just fats, 30% protein, 5% carbs, roughly), your body will become fluent in the breaking down of fatty acids and will quickly begin to adjust to the breaking down of fatty acids first before breaking down sugars. This results in the forming of ketones, which is the equivalent of fatty acids being broken down into energy for your body. Ketones will then be used as a primary energy source as opposed to glycogen (sugars from carbs). This results in your body naturally targeting fat cells in your body whenever it needs energy (as opposed to muscle mass, proteins, sugars, etc.), thus body fat is seen to drop substantially and quickly for those in ketosis.

Pretty much everything you would ever need to know about Ketosis can be found here: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=132598293&page=1 . If you have any questions regarding it, I can help you out.
im at university of memphis now. i live in an apartment right off of campus. i work mornings at the ymca in the fitness room and take 15 hrs of classes. im a junior/senior but dont know what im even doing. i worked at the dominos on highland near campus for a few months during the summer before i went back to school.

    whats up witchu?
I see, that sucks. In any case, I wouldn't mind hydraing if you weren't as active, but just as long as you talked to me and bounced ideas. (Love talking) I'd most likely get into the game %100 either way haha.

But hopefully in the future then. : D
