  • Sorry, I went to bed kinda early last night.

I'll be over about 12:30 or so. I'll call you when I get close, too.
lol if you really wanna pay me, I'll take the quarters. I just didn't want to put you through the trouble.
Nah, don't worry about payment if you don't have it.
    I'll just see you saturday.
    lol.

I'll drive you to the Battle Network this weekend if you give me 5 bucks. =P
I might be able to drive you, with the location. It prolly would be okay.
    1: I'm not Rainbow Dash, I'm Leaf.
2: Since does not "cover" anything, you've seen him play.
3: A character's comparison to how close of a pony they are is not my judging in using that character.
4: That idea was so bad that the first time I tried to click to get here I got a 502 page.
    5: HI KRD!!!!!!!!11
    Yes, I do.

Add me @ Illmatiiiccc (3 i's 3 c's) and I would love to wifi you WHENEVER. Just not tonight, sort of tired and I'm jamming music / talking to friends.
    Who cares about matches.

Go into free play, TONS of people there are surprisingly... really good.
Create an aim, and add people who you enjoy playing (connection wise and learning wise) so you can have them as future reference whenever you're feeling like practicing.

I literally have at least fifteen people online at aim at all times who will jump on whenever. It's good practice, and you can learn things wayyy easier through aim (it's more efficient) compared to a stupid little AiB chat box. No one cares about how well you place online on a ladder... that's like a personal goal sort of thing if it's your last resort. Use wifi for what it's BEST for .. practice. Why do you think the Brawl metagame evolved SO quickly compared to Melee's?

    Wifi
When you feel like you're not improving you need to start approaching the game in a different manner. Think like super abstractly, watch OTHER people that don't main Wolf just randomly use him (this helped me for Peach A LOT). You'll see them do things that like honestly you probably will never think of ever, and it will work well. It's pretty weird, lol. You can always fall back on those like 5 main points I gave Mystic.

As far as wifi goes, it's as good as you let it be. Don't listen to what everyone else tells you about it. If you do that, you'll only find excuses to not play it or excuses to why you aren't getting better. Wifi will teach you matchups, for sure. But it can also teach you frame traps, common opponent patterns, counter-picking options, spacing, etc etc. The only thing that's truly BAD about it is how it effects your reaction time, and that's dependent on the actual strength of the connection.
I learned absolutely everything on my own.

No one has ever taught me anything about Peach or anything about Brawl ever, besides small little tricks about general Brawl when I got into the scene.

Everything was from practicing on wifi/playing friends locally, I basically created my own Peach metagame. I don't wanna sound cocky or anything, but it's true. Wifi was my only resort until family issues came up last year and I was able to get into the scene.

In fact, I didn't even know about Smashboards (the basic layout) until when I started competing offline.

I enjoy helping people out because I hate watching people not succeed.. I don't know, it just bothers me a lot. If I feel as though the person has potential I wanna do whatever I can (personally) to help them reach their goals. Like, I think anyone can do anything (realistically) they put their mind to, you just gotta think differently then everyone else and try to do something that hasn't been done (in this game at least).

My goal was to be #1 Peach when I entered the offline scene, it felt weird to finally truly accomplish it about 4 months ago, but it's worth it.

I'm sorry but I can't give you a ride, KRD. Until I get to completely pay for my car, I will not be allowed to pick people up from a long distances. Tesh is close so that's why I'm always picking him up.
    I'm driving from dayton.

You could say...I'm not even going to Houston for this HOBO. lol.
Sorry KRD. If it were "local" I'd pick you up, but I can't. :(
Wish I could dude, but I don't have a car or a liscence. I bum a ride off my mom.
Tell ya what, I'll ask around and see if I can't find someone. You try askin Rainbow Dash?
I think I'll be at your place probably around 11, maybe a little earlier.

Getting kicked out of our place we are staying tonight at like 10:30 because the guy has work lol.
Sorry, the nikefest carpool is full.
I'll drive you Wednesday though, if you want to go to illmatic's.
