There's always the possiblity that the Japanese Overlords are just ****ing with us, but if it's a fake, it's a REALLY **** good one. Again, Holiday 2010 in Japan will be when we hear about if it it is real. I call dibs on the Grass Dragon!

And dude, I already told you I got banned until like Monday Night. If I can get on again, search for a very DerangedTrainer on the main forum.(and if soeone like you must be told a 4th time... -.-). I've had moderate success with my "Compeditive Team", but I think I prefered my Dragon Team. I'm switching around some of the moves so I can just straight up sweep, instead of using Weather Effects, and I think I want to add Smeargle to my team, if he can really use any move.

I had Hylian close the thread down because of this subject. If it's fake, then we'd have been worked up and wasting our time over absolutely nothing. If it's real, then we'd have that (OH MY GOD I CAN'T WAIT FOR IT TO ARRIVE YET AND I HAVE TO GO MURDER EVERYONE AROUND ME TO PASS THE TIME) blues. ...well, you know what I mean.

There have been plenty of fakes that did go along similar names (Darkrai for Pokemon Onyx made me laugh like hell), but there's also a lot going for it too. I'm going to keep studying it. If it is a fake, it's my favorite fake, because of all of the work that's been put into it. But seriously, **** that feels real. And as for the Pokemon, the little intro paragraph talked about the "Shadow World", and Giratina was the Guardian of the Afterlife like Reverse World, so there could be some what of a connection (although the very bottom, a friend translated, said that it wouldn't really have connections to the rest of the games, so I'm not really sure).

Didn't all of the starters for most of the games look real? Who'd have though that a Flaming Monkey and a Penguin would have been so cool in this game? A couple of friends and I have talked about it and tried looking into it a little deeper. We believe that the Fire Starter (which reminds me of Farfetch'd) will end up turning into a Ghost type, everyone is hoping that we will have our first Grass Dragon (Sceptile is awesome and all, but he's not a Real Dragon... he's just cool like one), and (Don't quote me on this) the Water Type (which seems like someone sprayed acid on the poor thing; it's like "Love Me! Please?") might end up becoming an 18th type (again, Don't quote me on this). As for the Legendaries, the one on the left we believe represents the Hollow Shell, while the one on the right is the Passed Over Spirit. We're dealing with Zombie Pokemon now. We've done basically everything else :p (assuming it's real, of course). The only names I remember from my conversations were Shryougun (the Brown one, which we believe will be another Ground Type) and Byaanyun (the Purple one, which is believed to be yet another Psychic).

But of course, this is all completely tenative information, assuming the games are even real.... but this is one heck of a well done fake, if otherwise.
    :flame:
    :flame:
The game itself (assuming it is real) is still in Beta, so they could be using former game information until they update it. And I don't really know anthing about spriting, but there have been several games where the sprites of the creatures within it have even eclipsed the screen *cough* (Castlevania) *cough*, but that might be a heck of a lot different from the way it works in Pokemon.

And about the Generations, let's think a bit. I'm proibably getting most of this wrong, but if I remember right...
    Game Boy (Pocket?)= Red/Blue/Yellow,
    Game Boy Color = Gold/Silver/Crystal,
    Game Boy Advanced = Ruby/Saphire/Emerald/FireRed/LeafGreen
    Nintendo DS = Diamond/Pearl/Platinum/HeartGold/SoulSilver
    Nintendo DSI? = Onyx?/Amethist?

They're still deciding on what system they want it for, and for how many players at one time can play together, but since we technically do have a new system, it wouldn't be completely crazy to have a new game.

I don't find that this is just a fake, maybe due to all of the different messages within it that can be translated into making sense in English (although it's a heck of hard to do, not to mention the Google Translators look weird, so I prefer talking to trainers that understand Japanese over the subject). I find that it's far too well done to be dismissed so easily, not to mention how it's so much like the other game pages of the official Japanese site (minus the fact that we shouldn't even be able to access it from the site; the page is suppost to be hidden, and webmasters have been doing their best to keep us out (although this only makes me believe even more)).

But there has been other fakes that have been just as highly done. But still, if it's real, nearly (if not all) of the issues that we see that make it so unbelieveable could be updated (if it's not suppost to be like that), since the release date says that the Japanese will be getting it Holiday 2010, which makes me think either some how later this year or (more likely to me) Summer Time that year. All we can really do is wait and see. But I'm not ready to believe that it's fake just yet.

HOLY ****ING **** SWEET *** CRACKERS YOU WILL NEVER GUESS WHAT I FOUND! GOD **** THIS IS THE MOST AMAZING THING YET!

I got baned for spazing out about it from the main server (I believe I also told you in the Counter Thread how I am a very "DerangedTrainer"), BUT THAT'S BECAUSE THE WEB MASTERS CLOSED THE WEBSITE DOWN FOR A BIT BECAUSE PEOPLE WERE ACCESSING RESTRICTED INFORMATION! IT'S REAL! IT'S REALLY REAL! IT'S NOT A HOAX! IT'S THE ACTUAL 5TH GENERATION OF POKEMON! If you want to learn or read anything, you better do it soon, since I don't know how long we'll be able to access the page.... BUT HOLY CRAP ITS REALLY REAL! IT'S REALLY REAL! PSYCHO AND CRASIC BOTH SCOFFED AT IT, BUT IT'S REAL! THE 5TH GENERATION IS APPROACHING US!

Yeah, I wanted to close the threadvdown and just privately talk talk about it, since I didn't know specifically that it was real or not. BUT THE FACT THAT THE WEBMASTERS ARE TRYING TO KEEP OUT THOSE WHO DON'T HAVE ACCESS TO IT PROVES IT! THAT'S THE REAL THING HOLY CRAP!

Dude, you need to go make more friends. I know you got all your Poke-Buddies you battle with. Stop being anti-social! What use is all the knowledge if you have no one to share it with?

Speaking of Sharing Knowledge, have I found something that might interest you! I decided to have Hylian close the thread, but after having the page translated a bit, I'm almost certain that I've stumbled onto something great!

Oh, and I may have said it once in the counter thread, but I hope you enjoyed your Vacation.
    :flame:
For anyone who cares (probably (almost) nobody, but whatever), I'm going on a vacation in Austria till the 8th of August. Have a nice day.
    :flame:
I am back again! I thought my Graduation Summer would have been much more relaxing. I have more crap to do than ever!

I don't believe that you should neglect 1% of anything. If there is even a .01% chance of failing, then something must be done to prepare for said chance. But that;s just a difference in beliefs.
So, despite the fact that they can still work, they should be forgotten completely? I have to disagree with you there. Suicune especially, for being able to counter all 3 versions of Uber Garchomp, deserves merrit. But I guess you are right. I'd have to find variations of Pokemon that are used a lot and that aren't Ubers themselves that counter him before anyone really thinks anything of it.

And I've never been a "FIGHT FIRE WITH FIRE" person. But again, that's simply a beliefs difference. But you don't have to use Common Pokemon to fit a role. Kyogre i sn't the only one who can use Ice Beam (granted, in this Mineral Biased Generation, it is the only one with an awesome ability along with it). You can use whatever you want, so long as it can get the job done. But my counters would have to be able to counter something other than just Uber Garchomp before they are note-worthy (besides Suicune... and Cloyster, for that matter). I wonder if they can deal with anything else. And I wonder who else works.

I'm not going to try to say that Choice Scarf Garchomp isn't hard to Revenge Kill. I'd be a ******* if I did. Reaching a speed of 500 or more is dang near impossible without Deoxys S or a Choice Scarf. But you've told me yourself. Revenge Killing is not the same as Countering. And while it is a heck of a beast to Revenge Kill, most Pokemon would prefer a 1v1 fight rather than walking into 2 moves before being able to retaliate. But again, this is beliefs talking right now.

Que Esta el Suspect...o? Also, while I agree with your comments on each Pokemon, I just made an off-of-the-top-of-my-head comment for the mid ground, using examples of Pokemon that random kids moan and wine about. Not really important. Just kinda... eh....

But oh well. I'll keep working and see if I can get any results. I like Suicine and Mamoswine, and I've noticed that Slowbro can take be eved to take no more than 49% from an attack if it wanted to, and be able to eventually get off killer Ice Beams while Slacking Off. Just another random idea. The sets I'm looking at having to counter are Jolly-Scarf, Adamant-Scarf, Jolly-Band, Adamant-Band, Jolly-Berry, and Adamant-Berry? Or are there any more sets? Doesn't seem to be....

Later dude, and good luck with the NU Tournament!
    :flame:
Hey mate I'm your opponent in the NU tourney let me know when your free to do your matches, I have a tourney tomorrow but apart from that I'm free almost anytime.
    :flame:
Admitedly, those Pokemon are RARELY ever seen in combat, yes. However, as of the May Uber Ladder 2009, it can be verified that every single one of them are in use. Incredibly Rare and Not at all are Two completely different things, or else a lot of life's problems wouldn't be as concrete.

And if these guys can counter the Uber Garchomp, I'm sure others can as well. I've only just begun using Choice Scarfs and Specs in considering my counters (although all but Suicune and Donphan can counter without said items, using a Power Ice Attack followed by Ice Shard). It just depends on how you go about doing things. To each, his own!

Also, personally, I think the Choice Bander is probably the Hardest to counter. While the Choice Scarfer is a good Revenge Killer, the Bander is much more formidable in combat. But that is just my opinion. Are there any more "viable" sets besides those for the OU Garchomp, or is it just still the 3 Scarf, Band, and Yache Chomps under both Jolly and Adamant?

Personally, I find Garchomp's status on the Tierlist weird. He was considered TOO good for the Over Used tier. So they had to move him up to Ubers. But then, he had to have specific sets and natures to be of any use with the rest of the Pokemon Gods, or else he'd have been outclassed. But even then, he is probably easier to counter (atleast in my opinion). I feel that he should sit in the middle of the two, along with Pokemon like Scizor (if newbs want to keep complaining about him), Manaphy (all it really has is a Nasty Plot and generic water moves. With Kyogre Support, it can't be statused, but still, anything with other factors helping it becomes a problem [which is the reason I don't care about Stealthrocks and Spikes and Reflects and Baton-Passes and junk in my calculations]}, Possibly Sky-Shaymin (granted, it's special ability and awesome move are dangerous, but the 4x weakness and small moveset don't do him any favors), The Latitwins COULD be considered for it, and a few others I can't think of off of the top of my head.
    :flame:
    :flame:
... That's funny. Garchomp is easier to counter as an Uber than he is as an OverUsed Pokemon. Oh well, back to the drawing board.
    :flame:
    :flame:
Those calculations look about right. But before I go back to doing more research, one questionic statement.

I thought the Standard YacheBerry Garchomp used a Jolly Nature, so as to not be outspeed by the other Dragons as well as base 90 Speed Pokemon. Since that was the most prominant Nature for Garchomp, that is the one that I was basing my research on. If Garchomp is fine with just an Adamant Nature, then I guess I'll have to get back to work. But if it needs Jolly to be stronger than the other dragons and to be an Uber, then the Pokemon I listed do indeed have the potential to stop it.

Since Niiro was the one who wrote the Garchomp Article in the Strategy Forums, can you ask him about why he said just Jolly and not Adamant? And maybe if you have any sway on the Smogon Forums, you can check their logic?
    :flame:
    :flame:
I guess it's common knowledge, huh? Granted, Glaceon chances being killed by Dual Stone Edges, but, aside from that, all of them have the potential to counter Yacheberry Garchomp. Most of the sets that would defeat the Yacheberry version also beats the Choice Scarf Version as well. And Suicune and Cloyster (possibly Lapras as well) recieve special mention for being able to counter the Choice Bander too.

I'm just mentioning this to you to see what you think. If I can find more, I might make another comment, since I've been checking stuff using Choice Item involvement. But this isn't exactly game shattering. He'll probably still be Uber, even if he does have counters. I just kinda wanted to know what you thought.
    :flame:
    :flame:
Do you know what Donphan, Mamoswine, Lapras, Glaceon, Cloyster and Suicune have in common?
    :flame:
    :flame:
Do you remember, a while back, what we were first arguing about, on one of the threads?
    :flame:
Thank you so much, thank you so much WouW.
I truly appreciate your post in the CPS, it means alot to me.
    :flame:
Hey Wouw, can you check something for me? Just out of my own curiosity...

    788 Atk vs 166 Def & 287 HP (88 Base Power): 448 - 528 (156.10% - 183.97%)

Yeah... I feel this is accurate for what Absol would do to Gallade if it tried attacking with Close Combat once it switched in after Absol's turn of Close Combat.... And I have to say, I don't see how Gallade is countering Absol...

We can still play with your Kangaskan, I'm just checking this for myself.... Would Gallade be a working counter against Absol? I might just be tired, but I don't see it....
    :flame:
So, your team functions about as well as I expected it too, good **** using HippoBliss, way better than SkarmBliss IMO. Here's everything I gathered:

Your team has one fatal flaw, maybe it's only flaw, but it really hurts. You have two sweepers, two passers and two walls. What this means is, all your opponent has to worry about is beating those two sweepers and he's eliminated 2/3rds of your team, since you can't pass to walls. If they manage to phaze you(Made harder by Petaya boosted Mixed Meta, but still possible) or if they wall you, your left without much you can do. Your team has a single plan, it's a good plan, but no back up plan in case the initial plan fails. Take my mono-ghost team for example, my Drifblim->Bulky Ghost combo is only one part of my team, I don't rely on it to win me games(Though it has happened quite a few times >_>) If and when it fails, I have a back up plan, I can use duel screens and either a powerful special sweeper in gengar, a bulky physical attacker in Dusknoir, or a set up sweeper in Mismagius. I think your best bet would be to focus on a single Passer(Ninjask) a single receiver(Metagross) then drop the second passer and bring back that MixApe you had(Go with Grass Knot/Fire Blast/CC/HP Ice) and possibly either change Porygon-Z to something else or go for a different set. Your team is by no way bad, quite the opposite, but I think you can still make it better.
That's only because a lot of your posts are centered around the Poke Center area (which is why you know much more about it and make like 0 mistakes), compared to someone like me, who runs rampant along the boards, fighting with anyone in my path, causing havok and destruction, scaring the poor civilians who are left in my wake. :p

But yeah, I'm usually all over the place. You're like an expert. But you should try adding more of all of the smart peoples like you that you meet as well. DON'T BE SCARED TO BE SOCIAL! NO ONE BITES! .... as long as I'm not hungry....
