  • Superman is capable of surviving off of Solar Energy alone. He doesn't need to eat food or breathe oxygen like humans.

This probably extends to keeping his teeth healthy as well. So why would he ever need to brush his teeth?

Because one of his powers is Super Breath that can become as a strong as a hurricane. So the last thing anyone wants is for him to have bad breath.
I remember one of the top 10’s Screwattack did back when they were a thing was top 10 video game wimps (only they chose a more vulgar term than wimps).

When they got to the entry talking about Punch-Out on the NES, they acknowledged that most people would think of Glass Joe for this category since being pathetic is kind of his trope and he has a record of 99 losses and only 1 win.

However, they instead focused on the fact that he has that 1 win in his record. Meaning someone actually lost to him.

They put whoever lost to Glass Joe on as the Punch Out Entry on that list and said “whoever he is, wherever he is, that dude sucks some serious ass”.
I remember two bits of in-stage dialogue from Sonic games, but I think my memory of them might be a Mandela Effect.

One of them is with Team Rose in Sonic Heroes on the Bingo Highway Stage. When Amy and Cream finish explaining to Big what Bingo is, he says something along the lines of “Sounds boring. I’d rather go fishing.”

The other is during the final boss of Sonic Adventure 2. Where Shadow says something along the lines of “Sonic. I think I’ve discovered the truth of the ultimate life form. It might be you.”
I have a confession to make, I have yet to see past Season 2 of the Castlevania Show.

I really should get around to that at some point. I enjoyed the first two seasons.

Except for one aspect. The fact that Carmilla was so insistent in Season 2 that Dracula didn't love Lisa and that he didn't turn her into a Vampire because he wanted to keep her as a human pet pisses me off more than it honestly should.
There's a Cup Noodle commercial from Japan starring Vegeta.

And it's kind of disturbing seeing Vegeta destroying all those Vegetables. He's basically re-slaughtering his own race just to make some Ramen.

I learned of this commercial last night, and later that same night I found out something that makes this even worse.

You know how Dragon Ball is, well, japanese? Guess what, Monkey Meat is Legal in Japan.

At that point it's just like "are you freaking kidding me?" What's next? Some really spicy Super Saiyan themed spice?
The e shops of the 3DS and Wii U are closing down soon and people have been lamenting over that.

But honest question here, haven’t Emulators figured out how to port over DLC content before?

If so, that might eventually heal the issue. I think the 3DS already has a somewhat competent emulator in fact.
If I recall correctly, Tak and the Power of Juju has earned a reputation as one of the bad newer Nickelodeon cartoons.

Which is very weird to me that it's known for that nowadays. Didn't it start off as a trilogy of PS2 Platformers?
We all know what ridiculous means, and for quite a long time I saw a number of people say ridonkulous instead.

As far as I know that phrase had kind of died off. I don't know for sure if it has, but either way, here's something similar.

    Ridonkeykongulous
In relation to what I was talking about with main series mario platformers about an hour ago, I did actually come up with an idea for a new spin-off series of Mario Platformers a few years ago.

Taking inspiration from how Mario is always on Yoshi's back in the Yoshi's Island games, and from how the Mario & Luigi series focuses on Mario and Luigi as a team, I call this idea "Mario & Yoshi"

Basically it's a Metroidvania where Mario (as an adult) is always riding on Yoshi. But being a Metroidvania there are some new abilities for Mario and Yoshi to acquire.

Like a Tongue Grappling Hook for Yoshi. Or a new power-up for Mario called the Shuriken Flower, which would turn him into Ninja Mario and let him cling to walls. While still holding onto Yoshi of course given the main mechanic here.
New Super Mario Bros. 2 and New Super Mario Bros. U aren't exactly games I would call "Underrated", but there is one aspect about them that I do feel people who have disdain for those games don't give enough credit.

When you stop and look at the overall gameplay, it is the gameplay we came to know and love from Bros. 1-3 and Super Mario World. Just updated with new moves and more.......smoothed out? Is that a hot take? I do remember Mario World feeling a bit more stiff when I went back to it after playing NSMBU.

Regardless, the gameplay of the New Super Mario Bros series did accomplish the goal of giving us main series 2D Mario on newer systems.

Remember how long Sonic fans were starving for something like that? Granted there wasn't as long a gap in between Mario World and Mario U as there was between Sonic 3 and Sonic Mania, and Mario had more main series 2d games in between those two while Sonic did not, so I can at least see merit in the argument that the next main series 2d Mario could stand to have some new mechanics.

Either way though I do kind of feel like what NSMB 2 and U did right with gameplay gets glossed over by it's scorners because said scorners are too focused on being annoyed by the re-used level themes and bosses.

Though in their defense, I would like some new ones of those things next time as well.
Arizona from Thems Fightin Herds should not become a playable Smash Character in the same game where BOTW Link gets a victory screen where he cooks a meal. If such a victory screen came up when Link wins a match against Arizona that would be quite awkward.

Then again if it was a tournament match and the Arizona player was a poor sport about their loss I guess it would be a pretty sick burn for the Link player to ask if they would be Salt Grilled Meat, Salt Grilled Prime Meat, or Salt Grilled Gourmet Meat.
How do you guys feel about Seafood on Pizza?
The most annoying fighter in Ultimate in terms of switching to a different color palette is Kazuya. His suit outfit isn't a problem in this regard, but it can be a bit of a pain how you can't tell what color his karate pants are on the character select screen.
I've thought of an idea for an alternate timeline.

In this timeline the standard price of a new game on any system, even PC, is 100 bucks, but there exist 2 or 3 sites that are really good alternatives to Youtube which means Youtube is nowhere near the juggernaut it is in our reality.

Would you hop in a time machine that moves your life over to this timeline?
I've been seeing some speculation lately that the next nintendo console will be a Switch 2 that's like the 3DS to the Switch's DS and that it will drop sometime next year.

Anyone here have any thoughts on this matter?
Mods can never compare to official Smash Bros but I love the Alucard Mod for Ultimate. It does such a good job at capturing what a playable Alucard would be like in Smash. Which as some of you may know could have been a possibility. Sakurai was torn between Alucard and the Belmonts after all.

Let's say that Alucard were to get into Smash Bros for real. How crazy would it be if the stage he brought with him was the Underground Garden. The Cut area of Symphony of the Night that is only in the Sega Saturn Version.
I remember a stream I watched once of the PS4 Spider-Man game. By then I had long since obtained the knowledge that Spider Man himself has had a lot of girlfriends throughout his history. But I also knew that the Archie Comic version of Sonic has had a few of his own.

So in the chat I asked which of the two has had more girlfriends and the streamer and their co-comms said it was Spider Man.

One of the co-comms even said "Spider Man goes through girlfriends the same way the ninja turtles go through pizza."

To which another co-comm replied "That's f**ked up man."
I've always been under the impression that if a Genshin Impact character other than the traveler were to get into Smash, it would be one who is either a fan favorite or has a significant impact on the game and it's story. Or both.

Problem is, my lack of involvement with the Genshin community has me unsure as to who counts in that regard.

There are 8 characters that I think are at least fan favorites, but again, I don't know for sure. I was hoping there would be some Genshin fans here that can give me some insight in this regard.

The 8 characters in question are:

    Barbara
    Beidou
    Diluc
    Mona
    Nahida
    Raiden Shogun
    Xiangling
    Xiao
Looks like the Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope DLC Trailer that dropped today did not cover the dlc that will include Rayman as a playable character. Speaking of which, was such DLC content ever actually confirmed? Or is is just a rumor?

Either way though here's a question to ponder about Rayman being playable in that game. Would he actually have a weapon? Or would he just use his fists?
There's an aspect of Wario's current Smash moveset that people have been helping me realize that I wanted to ask some opinions on here.

That aspect is how even though people claim his moveset is pulled from WarioWare, when you really stop to think about it a lot of his A moves fall more in line with being original moves to Smash that arguably still fit Wario's style.

I was wondering if anyone here had anything to say in response to that statement.
Some people expect cuts to happen in the next Smash game, others do not.

Me personally, I would like "Everyone is here" to stay, but I'm keeping an open mind and acknowledging that it's a very real possibility that it won't.

I've even seen some people who expect cuts predict that at least half of the current roster will end up being benched. Again, I'm keeping my mind open to the possibility, but it is a bit of a daunting possibility for me since out of the 82 characters on the roster (89 if you count echoes) the highest number of characters I can think of for being on the chopping block is 18.
Is Toon Link on the chopping block in terms of cuts should the next Smash game have cuts?

On the one hand he's been featured in a lot of Zelda stuff aside from Wind Waker. On the other hand it does kind of feel like it's been a while since he had a notable place in the spotlight. Some people might feel that Toon Link's era is at an end so to speak. Plus you know, the many similarities to regular Link are why people wonder about both Toon Link and Young Link in this regard.

I'm honestly torn on how to feel about the likelihood of a Toon Link cut.

If Sheik has stuck around despite not being in a mainline Zelda game since OoT, then TL definitely will.

It's unlikely both of the extra Links will get cut anyway; Sakurai is the type of guy who wants to bring as many character back as he can, and TL sharing similarities with the original Link is what makes it more likely in that regard. He's become a bit of a Smash staple anyway
Somewhat related to the topic of Steve discourse, there's something I've gotta admit to.

Let's be real, "everyone is here" is practically guaranteed to never happen again in Smash Bros.

The next game will very likely have cuts and I do wonder if Steve will be one of them for two reasons.

The first is that negotiations to get Steve in Ultimate in the first place took 5 years. One would think him getting in means the negotiations are done and they won't have to go through them again, but I don't know if that's actually how it works. The next game will not be Smash Ultimate, it will be a different Smash game. And apparently negotiations to get Cloud back into Ultimate were difficult despite him being in the prior game.

The second reason is that while they were working on Steve, they had to rework every stage to accommodate his block placing ability. This might not be as big a deal if Steve ends up a base game fighter in the next game, but that kind of accommodation is a lot of work. And that is the reason why cuts are so likely for the next game. Because it's notably unreasonable to expect the devs to go through that amount of work for every smash game.
A lot of people feel like if Link with the design from the Switch remake of Link's Awakening got into Smash as an Echo fighter of Toon Link, he would be called "Toy Link".

Does that name sound good to you guys? And if not, what name would you suggest instead?
This is probably the most garbage take I've ever made.

But if the Final Boss Phase 2 theme of Dragalia Lost gets included in the soundtrack of a future Smash Game, I kind of hope it gets a remix.

The regular version is indeed quite good. But personally, I always felt it was a little slow. Whenever I listen to it on Youtube, I always set it to play at 1.25x speed because it sounds more "high octane action" that way.

An absolute me problem, so I will most certainly not complain if this doesn't happen, but I do think it would be nice.
A new game in the Mario & Luigi series isn’t exactly the pinnacle of being likely to happen.

Which is sad to admit, but also very understandable in terms of the reasoning.

The last entry in the series didn’t do that great in sales and Alphadream went bankrupt shortly after.

Given those circumstances, it makes sense that Nintendo would want to wait a while before trying to delve into the series again.
There was a conversation going on once in a discord server I’m in in that was about Richter.

Someone accidentally misspelled Richters name and one of the people in the conversation said “His ass cannot spell” in response.

I responded to that by saying “I mean, Ricther was never a mage in the first place. So it's not too surprising that his butt can't perform magic.”
I don’t know who else has thought of this idea. But I know that the idea has crossed my mind of a Paper Mario 1 & 2 remaster bundle that includes Luigi’s adventure in the waffle kingdom as a small side campaign ala Bowser’s Fury.

If they were to do this, that campaign would pull a Link’s Awakening in two different ways.

The first is that it would all be a dream. Which makes since Luigi made up all those stories in TTYD.

And the 2nd is that Princess Eclair’s appearance would look a lot like Daisy. Just like how Marin was intended to look a lot like Zelda.
What was name of that one guy at Nintendo who people seem to think was responsible for Paper Mario placing less importance on things like Story and Unique Characters?

I know it's not Miyamoto, but I honestly can't remember who the guy people say was behind this stuff is.
With how often the EAC Thread gets updated, I still have a notable amount of stuff to write down to be properly prepared for when certain characters have their turn.

But I'm all set and ready to go for the next batch of Peach, Daisy, and Bowser. And if I'm understanding things right that batch should be getting started pretty soon.

    I am excited.
