Lowkey sick and tired of the argument that "you need to stop climate change." Yes, it's good to do what's possible to save energy, to recycle properly, to reuse and upcycle things. One person doing it or not doing it, however, doesn't make a difference. It's fundamentally a systemic issue, and it's rich to see ordinary people being lambasted for such things on the Internet or the like whilst nobody discusses the trillions of tons of CO2 emission illegally created by large corporations and facilities. It's undeniably good to do what you can for the environment, but the expectation that the entire planet's wellbeing falls on your shoulders is a bit unreasonable. It's a communal effort, and that doesn't just mean everyone should turn the heating off, it means companies, corporations and governments need to pitch in too.
