    I finally decided the general lineup of the roster of Soul Drivers:

    A total of 18 characters, even if the last one isn't playable and Poison and Malkovicz requires be unlocked to play has them. I will probably finally show a new design tomorrow.
    The notice was a week ago but I just looked it a few minutes ago. Please please please put Ryougi, or Touko either one is alright.
    Inspired by cashregister and FazDude I also would do wallpapers of my mains, I did something before with my KOF Mains so I will avoid that series. Also even if I played a lot of games I will only list the ones I played the most.

    Inspired by FazDude FazDude I decided to made my own page in Miraheze for my Soul Drivers game, I will still doing updates of the characters and any quick idea I had in this place but I want to write something more consistent in that place.

    If you want to search it is "Soul Drivers, a Fighting Game Concept", yet for the moment there is nothing so I don't see why would you want to do it lol.
    I can't believe how much people can mantain a profile picture for more than a week, it's physically impossible to me to do it.
    I tried to traduce to english one part of one my favorite songs just to see how stupid it sounds:

    Alright I was very active today, I ended the colors earlier than expected so here it is Hans!.
    Hans is a young boy who borned with a tremenedous magical potential (particulary in psychic powers), in some fiction works a superpowerful magic child usually means someone like the protag of Brightburn but he isn't like that, he is just a little kid who yes is very powerful but it doesn't stop to have the same mindset of someone from his age (13-ish), he has the little problem that he is usually very tired since his body can't manage all his power so he sleeps a lot, but his powers allowed him to create a style that allows him move when he is sleeping that he called the "Sleepy Penguin Style".

    In-game he is a stance character that can alternate freely between the awake mode and the sleep mode, in the sleep mode his moves are more erratic and less predictive but have a longer startup and can't block (it has a special block move but can't do the regular one), he also gains additional moves like one where he walks lying down allowing him to low profile a lot of moves or convert his penguin plush into a swole penguin that punch you REALLY hard.

    I still don't think this design is the final design, for example I think the penguin plush should be bigger and the hand where he hugs the plush is quite weird, but this is something I do with al my designs, I think I will only made the "final" designs the moment I learn how to do digital art.

    Btw in terms of what I want to do next, I'm working on Poison/Famine (I said that I will change her name but I'm still thinking on a better name), Ace and June redesigns.
    SOUL DRIVERS LORE MOMENT
    This is a certified Soul Drivers Lore Moment
    So how tf this world works?, Well at the start it was the same Earth just with crazy things, now still being a planet called "The Earth" but with several changes, for example instead of having a ****ton of countries you have 9 regions, each region has very marked traits of the place of the world they are representating, which parts for the moment is a pending but at least there is a region based on Latin America, other based on North America, other based on East Asia and other based on Western Europe.

    In this world the magic is usually despicted has a materialization of each one's soul (there is the why of the title), most characters has powers that could be considered representative of them in a way or other but there is also another determinative factor and is the potential. Something more or less based on Type-Moon's magic system and the Mana Circuits, certain persons born with a smaller "output" than others and viceversa with people that has less "input", or in other words they can't do magic or they have more struggles than other persons. Because this there are some characters who has genetic modifications (like Poison/Famine or Frank) and people who uses devices to supply their magical input/output or to boost the former (like Malkovicz or Enzo). There is also what is considered the "true magic" that isn't attached to the soul meaning that you can control what you want (Elise and Ace uses this), there are also species who has access to this type of magic by default and some of them can emm, "bond" with humans like the Tengus (and so the existence of Soichiro).

    In terms of time it looks like an alternative present, it isn't a far future with flying cars and hyperspace tralve but it has various technologic advances in comparison to irl. It's like a quite more down to ground version of Guilty Gear world only cutting the more crazy things. We have crazy things thought!, but they are more of magical origin, and of course there is the elephant of the room that its C.O.R.E. since it's an alien, but basically his specie isn't too relevant since it's supposed to be extinct long time ago soooo yeah there are not too much sci-fi elements here....well there robots and a girl who (tries to) travels in time but nothing too crazy! (?

    This is what I think it should be the most important things to tell about the worldbuilding but if you think I miss something tell me so I can improve!
    Alright here it is, C.O.R.E.!, or just Core or Corey if you are Vivian, technically doesnt has a genre but for make my life easier I will refer it has him.
    Core was a biological alien weapon from an unknown world, the actual entity are those red brenchs that are exposed to certain parts of him (or at least they look exposed, it actually has a thin transparent membrane around those parts that are even stronger than the rocks that surrounds the rest of his body). Core's mission was introduce himself into the center of the Earth, absorb nutrients from the planet and then destroy it becoming a massive weapon of mass destruction, but because certain problems he only reached the lithosphere, even then since it was programed to start his "nutrition" the moment he impacted he started to absorb some nutrients, didn't reached the levels that he was supposed to reach but it became a golem-like creature, he started an hibernation process where he sleeped for a undefiened amount of time. He awaked after the start of the events of the game due the amount of energy irradiated by Malkovicz's weapon. He now is basically a creature searching a new purpose now that he failed his main mission and without any further command being able to do anything, he eventually is discovered by Vivian who befriend Core giving him the nick "Corey" and starting a travel together.

    Gameplay wise Core started being the grappler of the game but after that job was gived to Wild Mask he is now more like a zoner character that can transform his body becoming into biotechnologic weapons shooting lasers and other crazy things, also being able to set "mines" across the field being very tactical and having a unique movement option being able to do very fast command dashes similar to Justice.

    Hans is already finished btw but I tried to give color to my draws this time so he will be finished tomorrow, and I still think I suck giving colors but I'm trying to improve.
    I made some updates to my chars:
    • The protagonist finally has a proper name, Arthur.
    • Wild Mask would maintain for the moment that name, his moveset would be like Tizoc and Alex but with Clark/King-like chain grabs.
    • Tengu also gains a proper name, Soichiro Kazehaya, I also didn't decided his age until now and since even if isn't a proper Tengu is established that their blood runs in his veins he will have more than one hundred years but it would look like a 20-30 ish years old man.
    • Poison (one of the characters I showed before) would now be called Famine, I didn't talked about her lore but basically is the "kidnapped since kid by the evil guys and forced to be a weapon" character. Her main inspirations are Hsien-Ko, Painwheel, Juri Han, F.A.N.G. and even Duo Lon with the abilities of stretch her body and attack with, well, poison, has the previous name indicated.
    • Ace (who is Elise's rival and ex) it would mantain the name but only has an alias with his true name being Jack (in other words he now uses the previous protagonist's name), he is the jerkass of the roster, in terms of gameplay he is like Akuma in some games since he can play rushdown and has tools for zoning having inspirations like Oswald, Gambit, Vega (claw), Vergil and Johnny Sfondi.
    • June would have one of the heaviest redesigns since the previous appearence is basically blue Cammy. She was the previous stance character of the roster until the conception of Tengu (and eventually Hans), now he is the charge character much like Leona or Guile. And of course her inspirations are the previous three alongside Heidern, Charlie Nash and Remy.
    • Frank it was the previous grappler until the conception of Wild Mask, now it's only the big body bud whose gameplay is more about sticking the opponent in a corner and obliterate them, design wise was inspired by Potemkin, Victor, Gigas and Iron Tager but now in terms of gameplay is kinda more like Twelve, Q or even Blanka.
    • A character that I didn't showed yet called Xiao Lang that I drawed before but that I forget where the draw its is also rescue of the previous concepts. It's kinda your Bruce Lee char but with some things of hiw own like the ability to summon fire wolfs (like how Orchid summons fire tigers), gameplay wise takes inspiration of various Bruce Lee ripoffs like Fei Long, Liu Kang or Kim Dragon but it also has some inspiration of other characters like Kim Kapwhan and his son Jae Hoon, Lee Chaolan, Lee Rekka or Jago.
    • Also another character that I didn't showed, Aleister Malkovicz, would be saved of the previous version. It was the final boss in the previous write but now even if mantain his role has the main villain it wouldn't be the true, final boss. Its inspired in a lot of final bosses fro other games like M. Bison (Dictator), the other Dictator from Kaiser Knuckle, Rugal, Dio or Magneto while also having some references to other characters like Zato or Noob Saibot, if you see some references you can notice that some of them are puppet characters and thats because he would be one.
    Btw the Hans and C.O.R.E. designs are nearly finished and I will try to post them tomorrow.
    I kinda did this with my mains in KOF but since I thinked that repite the artworks would be kinda cringe I used a website, here it are my Pokémon teams of each game that I played, note that I'm the type of person who only wants to use the pokémons of the region to play the story. The name of the trainers is the only thing I can't really nail since I always change between names so I will only use the last names I used ona female and male character, Celes for the girl and Ken for the guy. Yeah I know that I kinda cheated the region-only with Johto Hoenn don't @ me.

    A few days ago I finally understanded how to use Fightcade, I'm having a lot of fun playing some of my favorite games like Capcom vs SNK 2, Third Strike, Alpha 3, Act Cadenza, Akatsuki Blitzkampf and KOF XI at the same time I'm looking new games, like for example a game about mechas called Senko, it's pretty fun even if I think it barely can be considered a fighting game.
    I'm doing my english homework about fighting games and how the general public tends to avoid the genre due the stigmatism about their difficulty, trying to define how actually hard they are and give my own ideas about how to make the genre more appeal to the general public. Ngl the work is fun but I have 4 days just doing investigation, and the homework is for the next week 🗿
    Mixed feelings with A.Orochi Team, honestly they look sick and all but it feels that pay for them is kinda ass. I was expecting that they where free like Rugal and use the same slot has their regular counterparts like previous games and instead use that slot in another time like......idk BRING BACK MY DAD TEAM SNK GODDAMIT I NEED TAKUMA
    Alright I finished my first redraw, Vivian!, you can see below how she was named Rose originally, she also had other named like Alice and Lila but in the end Vivian was the name that survived for longer time. She has the ability to create paint and give life to her creations, the paint she create is special since it would adquiere the characteristic of what is painted with it like for examples if she create a Sword the paint would be has sharp has one or if she paints food it would have the same taste even if is still being paint. She is always covered in paint since sometimes she create paints by accident and she is always painting and doing things with the same that she doesnt bothers anymore wash herself every time she ends.

    I want to see how to traspass my draws to digital and with that give them color digitally since I kinda suck coloring (curious to say this at the same I show a character that is supposed to be so colorful lol).

    I'm still working on Tengu and Hans final designs meanwhile I'm redrawing C.O.R.E. too.
    Meanwhile I draw the redesigns of my characters, there are some old OLD draws, note that some of this characters or are Heavely changed or wouldnt make the cut.


    If you want to ask something about any character that catched you interest fell free to ask (I will probably late a little for the reasons explained below tho)
    I started to think in Tengu's moveset, he started being the stance character but after thinking more I think he fits more like Rekka fighter of the roster (having some characters like Kyo Kusanagi, rekka creator Fei-Long or Gato has mental images), definitively would be a hard to master character but that has a lot of hidden power. I was thinking on give him some sort of "Technique X Number X" names to his moves like Kyo Kusanagi, I used translator so a lot of this names would sound silly for someone who actually knows more about the language tho:
    • 215 Ougi Soyokaze: Tengu's Unique Skill, he shoots a wind orb that works has a stationary projectile, he can explode the orb remotely but he can also set it to trap a player or even for mobility jumping above the orb (that it will explode after that)
    • 68 Ougi Sukaisukippu: One of Tengu's command normals (and the only one I have an idea atm), it's like Chun-Li's Yosokyaku where Tengu jumps at his opponent's head.
    • 100 Ougi Kazeken: Tengu's rekka like move, the move has three attacks with the first two attacks being straightforward punches and the last one having 3 variations:
      • 103 Ougi Kokumo: An overhead attacking with his closed fan like a hammer.
      • 104 Ougi Hankaze: A mid attack where Tengu thrust his fan and then opens it to do a second hit.
      • 105 Ougi Teikyofu: A low sweep with his fan.
    • 86 Ougi Hariken: Tengu use magic to rise to the air spinning around a tornado, the attack works like a DP (examples 1/2).
    • 124 Ougi Tengu Haten: Tengu's "Demon Flip", it also has various follow-ups.
      • 125 Ougi Nishi Dageki: Tengu throws feather-shaped knives.
      • 126 Ougi Kita Kudari: Tengu does a divekick.
      • 127 Ougi Kyodaina Tsubasa: Tengu adopts a blocking stance adquiring super armor during the jump and blocking the incoming attacks.
    • 206 Ougi Kokuu: Tengu does a dash "phasing" like Akuma's Ashura Senku or (less so) like Anji's Suigetsu No Hakobi, it can be used has an evasion attack but it has offensive follow-ups:
      • 207 Ougi Kabe: Tengu attacks with a lunge forwards (example).
      • Ura 207 Ougi Kabe: Like the previous version is a lunge but this time attacks backwards after traspassing the opponent.
      • 208 Ougi Nise: Tengu does a phantom dash but mantains in the same position of the startup working has a feint.
      • 209 Ougi Kagami: Tengu moves backwards instead of forwards, the dash has less range and is more unsafe.
    • 184 Ougi Tengoku Otoshi: A command grab jumping Izuna Drop.
    • 115 Hiougi Yamakaze: One of his super moves, he launch his fan that starts to spin a high speed like a vortex, it's very similar to Guile's Sonic Hurricane for example.
    • Ura 184 Hiougi Jigoku Otoshi: A superpoweredversion of his Izuna Drop, starts with a dash where he gains superarmor, compare to Sol's Heavy Mob Cemetery in terms of startup and damage.
    • 444 Hiougi (Pending Name): The Level 3/Critical Art/MAX2/Neo Max/Climax/Ultra/etc of Tengu, like you can see Tengu has a lot of references to Akuma, well this is like his Shun Goku Satsu but at the same time it looks more like Kyokugenryu's Ryuuko Ranbu, Zeku's Batsuzan Gaisei or Guy's Bushin Muso Renge having Tengu doing a savage violent flurry of punches and kicks until annihilate the opponent.
    That's all I have for the moment, of course all this ideas could change in any moment but I'm very happy with the concept so I think at least most of this idea would remain intact, I'm still working on Hans, Tengu and Vivian designs (or in the case of Vivian, redesign).
    I finally ended one of my most time-eating homeworks and I'm using that time on work my passion project (Soul Drivers), I'm starting to draw (and redraw) some characters starting with Tengu (I'm starting to think on names like Arashi, Soma, Chihaya, Soichiro, japanese names related to wind in general) and a new character that I conceived recently called Hans and it would carry the stance mechanic that I ended droping of Tengu (since a lot of moves works for both stances, making the concept meaningless), it would be a child who would fight with a "sleepwalker style" based on the drunken fist, the idea came from those Sleep ability reworks from Kirby where people try to make Sleep useful eliminating the joke status of the same, that and a lot of Jamie gameplays lol. Probably I will end doing a google doc updating the thing in the future, or if the time permits a full blog (I have some knowlowedge on HTML so it wouldn't be super hard).
