  • What if a Mario Kart game had a story mode that was an open world game? You would have to have balloons attached to your kart at all times, there would be enemies all over the open world, you would use items from ? Boxes to defeat the enemies and if you get hit by an enemy, you'll lose a balloon. If you lose all your balloons you'll have to restart from the last time your game was saved.

Only if you could get out of the kart GTA style to explore some areas. Trying to do all navigation via Kart would probably be annoying. :/

What if a new F-Zero game was tied to Mario Kart 9 like Mario 3D World and Bowser's Fury? It would be Mario Kart 9 + F-Zero [insert title here]. If a new F-Zero game was a standalone game, it wouldn't sell very well unless it had an innovative new gameplay mechanic but if it wouldn't have to if it was tied to more popular game.

And this could gauge interest towards a new full F-Zero

Personally, I think this sort of "testing the waters" strategy is a very dangerous game to play when we're talking about larger game developers. Logically, the idea of "make a smaller, easier to produce [THIS]" is a really clever and good concept that would keep a ton of older IPs nice and fresh, as well as keeping fans happy overall and perhaps giving older series a chance to shine. The problem is, we're talking about Nintendo, the company that will never, ever make a Chibi-Robo game again because a half-baked platformer on the 3DS didn't sell well enough. I'd love to see F-Zero return as much as the next guy - genuinely I think it'd make my year - but I can't help but feel Nintendo would recieve mixed signals, and it's possible F-Zero would just coagulate into Mario Kart for good at that point.
A lot of rules in Fire Emblem's gameplay have always felt arbitrary. For instance, why do characters need to be in certain classes in order to use swords, axes and lances? Especially when they're strong enough to be able to wield these weapons.

It takes skill and knowledge how to expertly wield a particular weapon?

TBH certain characters should use those. A heavy armor unit doesn’t need a lance. Whats th point of staying out the enemies range to avoid damage when your whole class is based around tanking damage. An axe is more suited to do brutal damage while taking advantage of your bulk. A graceful flier doesn’t want an axe or sword, they want a bow or lance. Their thing is their great mobility, allowing them to stay out of their opponents range. An axe would be bulky and short ranged. A sword is less bulky and more ranged but your still entering the opponents range for no good reason. A lance allows them to attack while keeping a safe distance, as well as being easy to use. Its also more damaging, you are digging into flesh while flying, ripping the enemy apart.

TL;DR It is because realistically certain classes just should use certain weapons, as otherwise it is less efficient. Its a war simulator, so the characters and your forces should treat it as such.
Two years is long enough, what do you think of lifting all COVID-19 restrictions? No more quarantining, no more social distancing, no more face masks and no more COVID-19 restrictions.

Not until the day where it’s absolutely safe to do so and the risk of COVID has all but vanished.

But even then, I’d still want us to take as many precautionary measures as possible to make sure a pandemic like this never happens again.
Remember, Nintendo chose the lineups for Vol. 1 and 2, so including Byleth was their idea, not Sakurai's. Even if Sakurai were to retire, Nintendo would still want FE to constantly get new reps which I'm fine with. And FE is a Nintendo flagship in Japan (you know, where Nintendo is actually located) and it's one of their most alive and relevant franchises ever.
Haribo Gold Bears have a blue hat shaped gummy to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Haribo, but once they stop celebrating, they should make a blue bear shaped gummy that tastes the same as the blue hat.
Now that Microsoft has Activision/Blizzard, they could task them with making new Banjo and Conker games.

Because Rare has no interest in making a new Banjo but Toys for Bob might?

Rare is doing pretty well with Sea of Theeves and they have another pretty expansive looking game coming. If we get a new Banjo and Conker part of me feels it won't be by them
Smash is a game where Mario mercilessly beats Peach and Link mercilessly beats Zelda.

It isn't, but I hope you Buck Bumble fans are ready for what's going to happen on March 22nd 2022
A lot of plot points in Fire Emblem Fates feel very contrived and forced. For instance, why do Corrin and Azura need to get Garon to sit on the Hoshidan throne just so they can show the Nohr royals his true form? Why not just get another crystal from Valla and use that to show them?
My newcomer wishlist for Smash 6:

    • Spring Man.
    • Ribbon Girl.
    • Rex.
    • XC3 protagonist.
    • Conker.
    • Geno.
    • Excitebiker.
    • Crash Bandicoot.
    • Tails.
If one were to summarize the plot of A Christmas Story in one sentence, they may say something along the lines of:

"Ralphie tries to get a Red Ryder BB Gun for Christmas."

I don't think that's the entire story, I'd use this sentence:

"Ralphie talks about what the holiday season was like for him when he was 9 years old."

When you think about it, the movie doesn't really have a plot. We're just watching a slice of Ralphie's life.
Disney made more masterpieces during the 2010's than Pixar did. The only masterpieces Pixar made during the 2010's were Toy Stories 3 and 4, Coco and Inside Out.
Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated should have had a 3 player co-op mode where the 3 players use SpongeBob, Patrick and Sandy. If necessary, they could have made it split screen multiplayer where the screen is split into 3.
There's one way Zelda is better than Peach, Zelda will always try to help Link defeat Ganondorf while Peach never helps Mario defeat Bowser. I think the only time she's ever done that is in Super Mario 3D World and she wasn't even captured.

Super Princess Peach, and Mario + Rabbids come to mind as games where Peach fought Bowser, and Super Mario USA is a worthy mention too even if Bowser wasn't the villain.

But yeah, Zelda is more involved...
Splatoon does everything right. Both games released during the season where they would sell the best which is summer. Both games have memorable characters, the music in both games is very top notch, both games have plenty of both single player and multiplayer content, the writing for Octo Expansion's story is very good, both games have very good controls and gameplay and both games give us plenty of reason to keep playing them over and over.
The average Smash character has more or less than 23 attacks total while in ARMS, every character only has two attacks which are grabbing and punching and every punch moves in a straight line that you can bend either left or right. If there were way more attacks in ARMS, then people would appreciate the game more.
Paper Mario: Sticker Star is the most flawed game that Intelligent Systems has ever made. It gives Fire Emblem Fates a run for its money. Yes, its story is filled with flaws, but the gameplay is at least fair and enjoyable.

    It's gameplay sucks imo.
One thing I love about the DS version of Super Mario 64 is that it's a 3D platformer on a handheld system. How many handheld 3D platformers were made during the 2000's?
F-Zero as poorly treated as it is, at least has more than one installment and occasional easter eggs and references in other Nintendo games. ARMS has nothing. It needs at least the amount of content F-Zero has.
In Paper Mario: Sticker Star, you can tell that the developers were making up the events of the game as they went along instead of planning all of them out before developing the game. For instance, the Paperize area for the lightbulb sticker is four times bigger than the lightbulb sticker which doesn't make sense and also the game never gives you any clues that you need to see Wiggler to get to Bowser's Castle.
Hot take: Sephiroth was the least nescesary of the 6 Vol. 2 characters. We already had Cloud and we still could have gotten the extra FF7 music and the Mii costumes without including Sephiroth. I would have picked Geno and Sephiroth could have been a Smash 6 newcomer.
    Inkling Man
    Inkling Man
Min Min was more nescesary because she represents a series that had never gotten a playable rep before and ARMS is a gem that needed attention just like EarthBound, FE and Xenoblade did.

I mean, considering we only got Mii fighter and character DLC, no, we really couldn't have gotten the FF7 content otherwise outside of maybe 1-2 songs through Mii costumes.

You say min min should have gotten in but I say her arms shouldn't edgeguard me from off the stage
Smash would still be a celebration of gaming if we only added a FEW non video game characters. Putting Mega Man and PAC-MAN in Street Fighter X Tekken didn't turn that game into Street Fighter X Tekken X Mega Man X PAC-MAN.

    1) Smash Bros is far larger than SF x Tekken. The demographic is larger, the effect isn’t he industry is larger, and more is at stake in terms of corporate decisions.
    2) You are comparing of adding two iconic company mascots into a game commentating the two companies against adding characters from companies that, more or less, have nothing to do with Nintendo or gaming for that part.
    3. SF x Tekken was released almost a decade ago. The next Smash will release within this next coming decade. We are talking an entirely different industry that changes.
    4. Mega Man and SF has crossed over…multiple times. Tekken and Pac-Man has crossed over a few times. Fire Emblem and Looney Tunes has crossed over….never. Wild Thornberries and Pikmin….never. The Simpsons and Animal Crossing…never.
    5. Aside from that opening, the game tanked.

and this is coming from a guy who would be down to see Goku, James Bond, and Spongebob thrown down in Smash. Still, using SF x Tekken as an argument for it is a horrible argument.
If an ARMS sequel was a billion times better than the original, had a lot more content and had everything that you wanted the first game to have, would you buy it?
The Mickey & Donald game was mentioned in the SSBB Chronicle which is a licensed game. If liscenced games can be mentioned in Smash, why can't characters from liscenced games be in Smash? Donald and Goofy could have came with Sora.

Sakurai has stated that the character in question has to be originally from a video game. That's why Goku or Iron Man aren't viable options. They have video game appearences but they AREN'T 'video game characters'.

Dracula, Medusa, Hades and R.O.B. did not originate in games either and if games that are about non video game characters can be mentioned in Smash, I don't see why non video game characters themselves can't be in Smash.
At the start of the Sora trailer when the white Smash symbol appeared, I thought the screen froze for a second.
In the Doom Guy Mii costume trailer, there should have been a scene where he and Isabelle are together, referencing the Isabelle/Doom Guy memes.
