Honestly there would have been a lot less salt, at this point Three houses has become one of the more popular Switch games so it wouldnt feel like at advertisement since more people like her.

In all honesty, I feel like Byleth would have been generally more well-recieved as part of FP2 (not necessarily after Sora, to be fair) - Both for the same reason Hadokey mentioned and because they'd stick out less among the FP2 roster (due to not being the sole first-party) than they do in FP1.

I don't know why people are so obsessed with shifting Byleth's place - there would be salt any way you cut it. The only way to prevent Byleth salt is by cutting a vast majority of the FE reps in base game, and even then he'd still be recieved poorly.
