Weird how I've never heard anyone wondering what Kevin Afghani's Waluigi voice will sound like.
One last vaguely lucid question asked during midnight, who are the guys responsible for naming all the music genres, Crunk, Snap, Japanoise, Catholic Psychedelic Synth Rock, lowercase (yes in all lowercase) Vaporware... these are all the names of actual music genres, I am not lying.
I basically just learned that Pokemon Rumble U exists, and I'm simultaneously morbidly intrigued, but also kind of kicking myself for not thinking there'd be a toys-to-life Pokemon game for the Wii U. Lowkey I think it had a few interesting ideas - especially the concept of making the toys themselves cheaper to acquire than most and offsetting it with a massive selection - it'd just be better if the game was. Plus like, the selection of actual "toys" itself isn't all that huge compared to others - obviously there's reasons for that (it's Pokemon Rumble U) but still

Toys-to-life in general's a genre/concept I'm... iffy on. It's really cool in concept and there's some cool games and mechanics that've come out of it, but it's also kind of really obviously a moneymaking scheme and in a weird way feels like a real thing of the past. Still think the concept has potential, though. Even if I also kind of don't want to see it come back.

One thing that’s kinda neat about Rumble U’s toys to life gimmick is that it doesn‘t just support its line of NFC figures; you can scan any NFC object during gameplay to get a random Pokémon assist seeded by the data on the object. You can use Skylanders, Disney Infinity, amiibo, probably LEGO Dimensions but IDK, and I think even some credit cards? You can’t level these ones up and play as them like you can the Rumble figures, but yeah.

I didn't know that! That actually sounds like a really weird but cool little gimmick, come to think of it - I don't know if I'd actually trust tapping my credit card against the Wii U gamepad in case like someone from Nintendo reached their hand out of the screen to steal it or something, but that's still a really cool concept

Must be kinda weird though if you accidentally drop your Victini figure one too many times and then tap it to get like, Muk
