People hate on the save system for DKC2 but I feel like it’s at least way more consistent than DKC1 where you can just backtrack to previous saves so some areas have more opportunities to save than others

People talk a lot about lives and timers as weird arcade anachronisms, but not enough people talk about that semi-brief period in the 90s where devs thought saving was cheating somehow and would only feed you it in teaspoons or with some kind of string attached like a child getting candy as a treat. What a weird game design mentality.

I am surprised no one has tried to replicate Rayman Legends' challenge mode, because I feel like its the gold standard for challenge modes in platformers. There is a variety of challenges available of various difficulty levels, from collectithons to survival to races. There is also the choice of doing smaller daily challenges or committing to a giant weekly challenge for big rewards. I feel like if a game like Smash Bros were to use this challenge mode, it could be expanded greatly, a challenge could have you be forced to survive an endless enemy arena using a specific character or try to get the best score in an endless target test, there could be a ton of possibilities. I may add this mode to my own platfighter's online mode, since I feel it gives a lot of continuous retention.
The game where Wario tries to become rich by treasure hunting is called Wario Land.

The game where Wario tries to become rich by making video games is WarioWare.

What should we call the game where Wario tries to become rich by revolutionizing the automobile industry with cars that are powered by his gas instead of actual gas?
I've been thinking about the idea of a Disney villains crossover (platform) fighting game, and I had the really stupid idea of the hero you take down as a boss in the story mode being a team-up of all of Disney's well-meaning non-villainous antagonists who are mad that whoever's sending invitations to the Not-So-Scary Halloween Party considers them "villains"
