The Definitive Lloyd Irving Thread - fall down seven times, stand up eight (Mii costume confirmed)

and the fact that "Tales of" seems to be a big focus with Bandai Namco this time around with Tales of Arise! fingers crossed! I honestly hope it's a double reveal so that we can put this all to rest. All this anticipation and build-up is killing me

this just made me want him in smash so much more. I think trying in incorporate tales combat would make Lloyd incredibly fun and would love to hear battle of the spirit in smash

The Definitive Lloyd Irving Thread - fall down seven times, stand up eight (Mii costume confirmed)

Personally, I would rather have Lloyd. While Lloyd would be another "anime sword fighter" him having two swords would be what separates him from the previous animu sword people in this pass. While some can argue that Yuri does a combination of kicks and punches in his move-set, I still think the...

The Definitive Lloyd Irving Thread - fall down seven times, stand up eight (Mii costume confirmed)

my personal speculation and what I tell myself as comfort is that in terms of holding off on anything tales related could be due to covid. I remember reading that covid greatly affected the tales of team which was why any tales of Arise news went hush for pretty much the entire year of 2020. Now...

On a side note, wouldn't it be hilarious if they introduced lloyd by first introducing his mii fighter costume as a nod to his wanted poster?

The Definitive Lloyd Irving Thread - fall down seven times, stand up eight (Mii costume confirmed)

I went to go check when the last time Bandai Namco had a special time slot at E3 or even showed up at E3 and so far my google searches have not found anything, even going back as far back as 2015. However, my searches were not very deep aside from E3 20xx schedule so take this with a grain of...

Interview on why rex was left out of smash ultimate - I found this is really telling that even though rex was announced as a Mii costume they still tried to include rex as a fighter but it proved too difficult to try and implement the Xenoblade chronicles style mechanic into smash. ultimately...

The Definitive Lloyd Irving Thread - fall down seven times, stand up eight (Mii costume confirmed)

I think Smash waiting for more tales of news to come out before releasing Lloyd just makes more sense. The tales of series were majorly delayed because of the pandemic. This goes into thinking that since their own products are being delayed LLoyd or a tales of rep in smash was probably delayed...

not to mention the new monster hunter game on the switch also comes out in the month of March, which is when Pyra/Mythra is set to be released. Including their mii costumes instead of Lloyds may be their way of advertising for the new monster hunter. "fingers crossed"

best case scenario is pyra/mythra comes with the monster hunter miicostumes since monster hunter releases in march too...but i have a feeling our boy lloyd might get the axe too since TBH he kinda looks like rex and fits the trope

it looks to me that tales series was hit hard by the covid 19 pandemic to the apoint where tales of Arise went mute for pretty much the whole year. It may be possible ( this is what I am telling myself anyways) that Lloyds inclusion in smash was also mega delayed. Fingers crossed that his mii...
