I think pichu is one of the best matchups for ridley, Pichu just can't do anything when ridley's disjoints are bigger than pichu's entire hitbox and hurtboxes combined.

Ridley's down smash can be a great tool for mixups due to its range and overall reliable kill potential. I strongly recommend considering it as an option if you feel like you've been up/fsmashing too much.

Likewise I hate that there is no option to remove tap-smashing. I guess it's down to preference in general, but tilt-stick is definitely not required.

When fighting Ridley, you need to respect his damage output and effective smashes and aerials. Trying to combat him in the air as the ice climbers is a particularly bad idea as you won't be able to compete with the range of his Nair. His side-b has huge endlag if it misses and can be easily...

You can basically sucker punch people by mixing up your side-b timings to make direct approaches a nightmare. :ultridley:

I personally find :ultridley:Ridley benefits more from stick smash. I tried him with tilt stick and it was practically useless, he doesn't benefit from pivot cancels and stick smash lets him use his really good smash attacks.
