If Pichu returns I think I'd like him to be as 'poor' as he was in Melee. It's intentional weakness, it seemingly being created to be a 'joke' character, makes it endearing and unique to me as well as fun to play as.

My heart fell when they announced Sheik and ZSS were being separated into separate characters since I knew that probably meant the end for Red then seeing Charizard by himself just confirmed it. I only held a grudge against Greninja since I thought that meant no Mewtwo. I'm just hoping Red...

Really want the Ice Climbers back, with one half of them being female of course. Also want Red back so a Leaf alt would be nice. In terms of newcomers only Lip really interests me. It would be nice having a character to represent the Puzzle League series.

There's nothing wrong with people having an opinion, but these aren't good arguments in my book. They don't fit in, they're boring, aren't appealing, lack personality, doesn't add to gameplay etc. You could say the exact same things about literally any character, actually let's do exactly that...
