Official 4BR Tier List V4 - Competitive Insight & Analysis

Shuriken beats bad Spin Dash approaches for free after the i-frames (they either trade and halts Sonic's forward momentum or just hits him and deals damage along with giving Greninja stage positioning) It's one of his best tools in the MU as it keeps Sonic at bay within the midrange and forces...

SpinDash is the opposite of a good approach option. It's more as an anti-approach

Official 4BR Tier List V3 - Competitive Insight & Analysis

Side B falls straight after release so it doesn't help in air mobility. Homing Attack has too much startup so it only works as a desperate mixup. Whiffing or not locking on is way worse in comparison to hitting someone or their shield. UpB is a great recovery move, but outside of that it's not...

Official 4BR Tier List V3 - Competitive Insight & Analysis

Lack of safe approaches (every move which isn't SpinDash is negative on shield, has not the best startup and lots of endlag) Terrible air mobility (almost Ryu-level. He makes a hard commitment when he leaves the ground.) For that reason his tomahawk game also sucks. That coupled with his floaty...

Salem showcases it the best, but overall the MU in general has developed to be in her favor due to her range, safe buttons and overwhelming punish games, making it hard for Sonic to play neutral and reset to neutral after advantage/disadvantage.

Can and will. Sonic counterplay is evolving faster than ever while his own meta hasn't evolved at the same rate. Doesn't help that the Bayo MU is becoming worse and worse with time and people in general getting better at handling his neutral and abusing his disadvantage harder.

Nope, not with how the meta is progressing

Falcon having a better dash, burst speed and dash grab along with better hitboxes overall with better ACs and horizontal range allows him to be more aggressive than Sonic. It's all by design too.

It's not exactly that heavier characters can act out of hitstun faster, it's actually the thrower who suffers more endlag when throwing heavier characters and it's quite noticeable imo.

Official 4BR Tier List V3 - Competitive Insight & Analysis

Zenyou plays Mario in his worst MU and Sonic's best top tier MU on top of it being Komo, being known to be very defensive and patient (which Mario has a really hard time dealing with) and AnTi in general has a hard time vs the character (losing to Aperture with both Cloud and ZSS at Nairo Saga...

What were the changes to Season 2 which made it to the travesty it became compared to Season 1?

I think it should be more than 6-4 (+1) if it's a very strong MU. More like 7-3 (+2)

Yeah. It was also the Patch which redid the shieldstun mechanic
