What separates great players from the gods/demi-gods?

The top players adapt faster, punish harder, and survive longer than their other counterparts. They also have an intricate understanding of game mechanics and situations, and frequently have a very difficult to take last stock. That's my observation and experience playing top players.

    Takin a leap here

Have fun and play as many people as possible. Don't be afraid to ask for tips from better players, most enjoy giving them. Be as social as you can and try to get to know the scene, smash tournaments are an easy way to make friends and get connected into a tight community.

Live abroad teaching english in a foreign country, save money, and gain tons of life experience. All you need is a bachelors degree if you're a native english speaker.
