I feel weird arguing the semantics of cleavage on Smashboards, but it really isn't, and doesn't even match the description that the TV Tropes page gave. If anything, they just have to adjust the spacing a little bit so it covers more and they'd be fine.

I have to agree here. I really think that in this day and age, some cleavage won’t be an issue at all. Especially since the entire rest of her body is covered. Consider me a supporter of this character. Oh also, IMO this would be a much more representative picture OP...

Oh, don’t get me wrong— I think he would be a great character. I just find it strange to immediately discount all the unique, creative characters on the poll like Amaterasu and then immediately say that a generic knight character would be better. “Adding something new” would probably be bringing...

Maybe it’s a superficial reason, but I’m going to give my support for this character mostly because I think she’s a great design (I’ve never played her games). I still see her as an icon of Namco, though, so I don’t feel too guilty. Officially declaring my support!

Amaterasu wouldn’t add much new but a medieval knight would?

He isn’t the most iconic character, but I think he makes sense. Dragon Quest is the next most iconic Square Enix (or JRPG franchise) franchise, and Erdrick is basically their equivalent to Cloud. Count me in as a supporter.

As much as I’d love to see Conker, Fulgore, or even Joanna Dark get in, if they’re doing Rare characters Banjo would have to lead the way. It would be hilarious to reveal Conker instead of Banjo, though. Maybe he could chainsaw his way through the Smash logo.

What? How could “the father of console FPSes” be from 2001 when Goldeneye had come out 6 years before, not to mention Doom 64, Perfect Dark, Medal of Honor, etc. That’s like calling Alfred Hitchcock “the father of movies.”

Sorry, I feel like I spoke too rashly-- Among wikipedia enthusiasts I know, that page is kind of not held in high regard. It's not like the Fortune 500 or the Forbes billionaires list where there's strict criteria and a method to finding each entry, it's more just cobbled together from whatever...

That list is largely incomplete and inaccurate, unfortunately.

If we were to get a playable fighter I think it’d be Morrigan. If we see Sakurai start to draw from all the “greatest hits” of each third party, I can see her getting in, but definitely not in the Ultimate base roster.

Fully support this— The character is great, a “killer clown” on the roster would be excellent, and I irrationally love the idea of Sakurai gradually absorbing aspects of Playstation All-Stars into Smash (Final Smash meter is one, Heihachi and Raiden are probably next).
