Gotta want the win if you want to push yourself to get better, but it's always way more rewarding to lose a good match to someone who's better than you than to easily beat someone you're better than.

Being way too agressive. Usually I'll go super agro, get punished, and totally forget about watching my opponent to see what they're doing. Basically I get mad tunnel vision for landing a certain few moves at a time. It really doesn't help my melee style was "hit more buttons than the opponent".

Patience is definitely huge. Nair is really good for spacing and waiting for an opening. I find side-B to also be a really good way to grab a swordie after there is an opening and then go for a tech chase.

I find any heavy kinda miserable to face because a stray hit can send Pichu to Agrabah and back at super low %. But specifically yeah Samus and Krool can be real annoying because they've got good projectiles to space you with, so that takes away from spacing with your neutral b to try and force...

I've noticed the biggest thing for neutral is really being patient. It can get frustrating sending out jolts which slowly damage you, but it seems the best option. If it connects it stuns for about 16 frames so if it hits you've got time to work with and if it doesn't you can pressure...
