Now I'm really hoping we get a Shovel Knight Mii Swordfighter next round. How amazing would it be to have Indie icons like Sans, Cuphead, Shantae, and Shovel Knight all in one Smash match together? I think that would be the coolest thing, even if they are all Mii Fighters.

These Mii Fighter deconfirmations were crazy this time around! Ah, well. I was really hoping that maybe... But at least her costume is well detailed, and we get a great music track to go along with it! Perhaps she'll be a front-runner for the next Smash title, whenever that is.

I still feel Shantae having Spirits in Ultimate's base game helps her chances more than it hinders them. The fact that Nintendo already saw her franchise as worthy of being a part of Smash at all should mean something. Just like it meant something in the cases of Min Min, Pyra, & Mythra. Let's...

Loved the retrospective that Nintendo put up today on the Shantae series! Shantae is now the perfect character for cross-promotion. While I was watching it I started thinking to myself "Let's get this character into Smash, plz!" :laugh:

I played Runbow a lot on the Wii U. I actually 100%'d all of the content I found it so fun. Definitely play it with a group of friends though if you get the chance because the shenanigans can be very enjoyable.

I think Nintendo would be crazy to stuff another FE character in this Fighter's Pass, honestly. I'm all for being pessimistic about the final character inclusion, but another FE character is a little bit too far for me. XD

What other new Fire Emblem character could they add that could promote another game? Isn't Three Houses the last FE game to release, and is already currently represented in Smash?

To any casual Smash fan who doesn't play many Nintendo games, Zelda, Sheik, and Tetra would all look and play like completely different characters. I don't feel like it would be excessive at all, especially when you look at the Link side of the roster.

So true. It surprises me to still see so many people not entertain the idea that a playable Indie character could happen despite getting Spirits, an Assist Trophy, and multiple Mii Fighter costumes as representation for the genre thus far. A fully playable Indie character seems like the next...
