The only stage that I consider really bad is Battlefield because the top platform is really high, it makes sweetspotting the ledge significantly harder, and provides no wall to ride with up b. The only benefit to BF is that it makes cape a bit better, but doc needs all of his recovery mixups so...

For some reason, this is really bothering me, but my usual practice partner will often just wait on platforms and downsmash when appropriate when he is using peach. What is the best way to deal with that, and is there a good way to deal with that coming from the ground?

I personally don't like Yoshi's and FoD, but I like FD, Dreamland, and Pokemon if you want to count that one. But I've only been able to play melee for 2 weeks in the last 4-5 years. I feel like I die too easily on FoD and Yoshi's, while also not being able to finish off quick stocks there like...
