    Moveset speculation

What I meant is rather that protagonists in DQ that tend to have magic usually have Heal and not about RPG in general. Aside from Swoosh and maybe Bounce ( the male protagonist in heroes can use it in heroes 2 tho) all the spells they seem to have in smash were part of each MC's kit so Heal...

    Moveset speculation

It does look like some kind of healing but that's not how the animation look but I don't think it's supposed to be consistent with DQ XI anyway. I mean we saw Zap and Snooze and the animation for these spells in XI are not like what they look like in smash. In DQ8 each character have their own...

    Moveset speculation

In DQ XI, I believe the healing animation is an arm sweep from left to right but I can't recall what the "arm in the air" is. Items maybe ?

    Moveset speculation

Kamikaze seems to have quite a lot of start-up (like Electrode when it turns black) and the visual cue is kinda in your face, on top of that you forfeit that stock so I'm sure it's an instant kill. It might have a reverse % effect, where it becomes weaker as your % goes up but I don't really...

    Moveset speculation

MP might regenerate like other character's limits, with each blows landed and taken or/and over time. There's no other way around it. The question is the amount as the spells looks quite expensives, especially the one you can charge ala DQ Heroes. We know there's Sizzle but they only showed...

Heroes Draw Near. Command? (Hero Social Thread)

I really hope all the heroes have access to the entire spell/skill pool instead of having a particular set for each character (even if it seems to be the more balanced choice) but then again depending on how MP function it could be a good counter mesure for the excessive number of specials. I...

Very frustrated with the lack of female versions of The Hero

Eight recolor is based on DQ2 hero ? I thought that was Terry haha, especially since the Luminary alt looks like Angelo. I'm a little disappointed for the lack of female counterpart for 3 and 4 sure but I don't really care that much tbh.

Can we talk for a moment about my favorite move of Ridley's, his down-smash?

It was mentioned earlier but Down-smash is really better used when your opponent don't expect it. If we were to compare it to his other smashes it's really not that great but it's not a bad move as it has some uses. F-smash and U-smash are just too good for most of the situations where you...

Social The Coney Island Disco Palace, A.K.A Bowser's Social thread!

Oh I know that but that was still "point blank" as in half a dash away and in range for Side-B. Projectiles should have lag in some manner, I think ? Well I didn't get punished but he got away safely, crayzy!

Social The Coney Island Disco Palace, A.K.A Bowser's Social thread!

Well granted ZSS is not a 1:1 representation of what she was in smash 4 (far from that but still pretty good) and Bowser was severely buffed in this game, I gotta say his play was really clean. The best I've seen so far. He was sitting in shield a lot tho, that's a good option most of the time...

Social The Coney Island Disco Palace, A.K.A Bowser's Social thread!

Did anyone notice that when you hit someone with Up-B in the air while not mashing we fall faster than usual ? I managed to get someone off stage and go a little above the ledge, I felt like I had less lag on landing. It was during a match so maybe I imagined things on that part, shoulda taken...

PSA: Learn to edge-guard, and quit recommending that people use neutral b to do so

The thread simply got side tracked for a moment, no need to hurt your brains over it. Ridley's recovery is decent if you're being mindful of your jumps and positionning but the lack of diagonal hurt it in some situations. end/ Now back to the edgeguard chat.

Official and Potential Combos of the Ridders

You can roll getup after a jab lock, no exceptions. The CPUs in training will always normal getup tho, so that's not true at all. Speaking of jab locks, if you happen to jab lock with Ridleys jab, only use Jab1 twice or only once and not Jab2. It has a slower recovery and prevent us to use...

    Media Ridley Match Analyses, Tips/Discussion

I'm not going to argue the Megaman MU here but I still want to point out some things, granted his comment was a month old people thoughts and understanding about characters and their tools change all the time. First and foremost, the thing to understand is Ridley is not going to fully charge...

    Media Ridley Match Analyses, Tips/Discussion

Hi and welcome, it's nice to see people taking interest into Ridley. To answer your main problem, you're right about swordsmen, that's a tough match-up (the toughest actually) but I'm only talking about most of the FE cast, the Links are actually quite manageables because of the fact that they...
