Honestly, I replayed it about a year ago and it doesn't hold up. The gameplay itself is still good but it's being stopped constantly to show you cutscenes of the environment changing or to tell you what to do and I just want to play the game, you know?

I would still argue that the Doom Slayer fits better than Snake. More colour, more exaggerated and more fantasy. As shooters go, Doom Slayer's the only one that really appeals to me as a possible inclusion, so I'll stick around as long as theirs any small spark of hope for the indefinite future.
