  • You like Shadow Hearts too? I see you are a man of culture as well

I like the series a lot (still need to play Koudelka) and just wish for a port.

Shadow Hearts is one of the few JRPGs with historical backdrops and Covenant being in the middle of WWI is pretty cool.

I think the devs got bought out by some pachinko company though :c but demand should override that I think
Is that person in your avatar referencing the DQ V hero, or is this a coincidence?

Never knew that existed. People seriously underestimate the popularity of this franchise.

Also, can I say how the DQ V hero happened to be the first one I became familiar with? I own another SE game that I got years ago, and it had a basic advertisement for DQ V specifically at the end of the manual, and I never forgot that design.

I guess that's another reason why I felt nostalgic during E3.

I remember seeing some advertisements for DQ games back when I got a PS1, sadly a bunch of them never came until about 5-10 years later.
To not clutter your AMA thread, my best suggestion is to use some maps if you want to try finishing Quest 64. Game has horrible dungeons in that regard. It's harder to get lost in Dragon Warrior 1, which has dungeon designs where the biggest issues are the enemies, as you have at least clearly visible outer walls due to the top-down view. That said, if you need other tips, I'm willing to help. There's also a Quest 64 topic via my signature. Alternatively, there's lots of playthroughs you could watch if you just want to "beat" the game as is.

Thanks, I'll check it out. I don't have the game with me right now (back home) but when I visit there next time I'll try finishing it.

If you have the save via your memory card, that's a good idea. Otherwise, emulation isn't a bad thing overall... if you own the game at least. I'm actually missing two games in the series, the German and the Spanish versions. German is an official copy, and I don't know if Spanish is a bootleg or not. I think I explained each game among my Quest 64 topic. That said, it gets confusing when 4 games are named Holy Magic Century.

I'll check it then, nothing beats the feeling of the original console. Plus my backlog is big ATM. I'll be sure to check your topic later.
