    Cool, did you ever play a Mother game with Lucas? I actually became a Kirby fan through Smash, usually people like Smash characters because of certain franchises.

    Unfortunately, I've yet to play any of the Mother games yet, haven't had an opportunity to get my hands on them, sadly.

    How did you end up with Link and Lucas? For me, I actually became a Kirby fan thanks to Melee. I tried him because of cuteness and became an instant fan. Then, I got Kirby Air Ride (GameCube) and Kirby & The Amazing Mirror (GBA), and so I became a Kirby addict!

    Funnily enough, my maining of Lucas comes from, back when I pretty much just played whoever, watching a few of the matches that Chuggaaconroy played, and seeing that thing where you could launch yourself with PK Thunder and thought that was pretty much the bees knees (to say the least)

    Link comes from a lot of the same way that you started playing Kirby, he was one of the most recognizable faces in the Brawl roster for me, and he was pretty fun to play, although he never reached main status in Brawl, because he was kind of horrible in Brawl, which is why I was really glad when I saw all the buffs he got in Sm4sh

    Hi, welcome to the forum! I see you're sticking to characters you're good with, understandable. I'm maining Kirby since 2003 (Melee), no plans to change that! Kirby and my GameCube controller made my transitions from Melee to Brawl, and Brawl to Wii U very easy.

    Your post in the newbie forum is recognizeable. Many people online play and talk about Smash, but no one you know plays it...

    Thank you for the welcomes, and, yeah, I don't live in a particularly gaming-oriented part of the States, so very few people I know IRL even own a Wii U, much less Sm4sh

    Wow! I honestly hadn't expected people to be this helpful and welcoming when I've just only created my account here, sincerely, thank you for your suggestions, really. I'll take some time into learning those techniques once I've gotten a better grasp on how to play Link better.

    Oh, and don't worry about that last bit, I've spent enough time getting slaughtered in SG by people way better than me to learn not to take losses very personally! :p
