    Need a Fox training routine

100 perfect pivots 100 hipchecks 10 km shorthops 50 km fox trots 2000+ combo attempts EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. All jokes aside, training should cater to your weaknesses as a player. For example, if you have issues with a character, practice combos and ways to deal with that character. Or if you are...

Ideas or help on helping someone learn/master the fundamentals of Smash 4

I ask this same question every day. I would be a liar if I told you fundamentals are learnable. I think it's more of a talent that is polished if anything.

    Q&A The 'Mains' Advice Thread

Still don't have a main in Smash 4. Played literally every character, and even after 3 years, I still have no solid best character. My fundamentals are already sharp, and I play fast games, but I lose to stupid character gimmicks, time outs, and jank all of the time. I just want to play a...

    Social Luigi's Social Mansion

Not exactly right. I get that Elegant is great and all, but Luigi just isn't up there with the other top tiers. His strengths don't outweigh his weaknesses.

Q&A Official FAQ and QnA Thread - Ask Your Questions Here!

So, I'm new to Melee, coming from Brawl and Sm4sh. I'm currently searching for a fast character who can really force options on others, but still have a reliable defense. Any suggestions? Also, a link to the vital tech would be helpful.

What holds back a mid-level player from being high-level?

I think I arrived a little too late to the party. I think it just boils down to the little things; Intricacies that only a high level player or someone with vast knowledge would be able to pick up. Those moments Larry Lurr microspaces a Marth and kills him off with incredible juggling by...

I'm not very good at Smash

Honestly, I expect everyone to ignore the NNID. As for personal gameplay. I analyze my replays, and I see a lot of habits and errors in my play. My spacing is atrocious, my punishes sub optimal, even if they land, and I have issues with ledge game, as well as general struggles in making reads...

I'm not very good at Smash

After hours of analyzing matches, adapting, facing 3000 plus opponents, going to locals, and playing for days on end. I don't got it.

    Meta Falco: Approaches and Combos/Strings

I've seen these, though they have issues against floaties. I also found used for RAR Fair. The hitbox is large enough to catch rolls. Might replace dash as the viable option to cover roll away.

    Tips for competitive smash

Little Mac. Are you the c-stick warrior type? Or a serious user? You wanna be careful with Little Mac. You can't really study recovery or edgeguarding, both very important competitive skills. Also, it's very easy to exploit his attacks, but you have to be smart with your movements Link is...

Q&A The Smash 4 Question and Answer Thread

My own question is for Marth mains. How often should you use Nair? I use it more than Fair personally

    Tips for competitive smash

Keeping a secondary is a good thing for mid tiers. It's always good to have a for fun character, and a set of aerious characters. I recommend you play Cloud/Ike to get a grip on fundamentals. Roy is the harder of the bunch
